Nice Shave Chad

Thanks Dave

Great stuff Chad. Josh sent me a sample of A&E in another scent, though I have yet to give it a test run. The scent of that one is nice and strong as well. Peter Charkalis does not skimp on the frag in his soaps.

Thanks Eric. and you are right no skimping on frag. Which is something I like. Now I just have to decide how best to get his soaps, BST, pay a membership fee, or pay a higher rate. I totally respect his business model and it's perfect for people who are in a buy now stage. I am just in a selective purchasing stage as I call it.

Razor: Parker Variant
Blade: Treet (5)
Soap/cream: Proraso Green
Brush: Stirling Finest
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Proraso Green

Well had a wonderful shave today. The Treet blade is continuing to perform well also. One good thing is that the Proraso Green poked through the bottom today. I saw it! We are getting close to this soap being gone. So probably 3 more months of every other day LOL. Just kidding I bet mid June it is gone.

Well today is my early day so at work at 6AM for meetings that occur on the east coast. After work today I need to meet my wife at the dentist as Connor has an appointment. We do brush his teeth at least once a day, but we do floss daily. I know we need to get better about brushing more than once, but sometimes fighting with a 4 year old is just not worth it. Just hoping he has no cavities. Tomorrow Sadie has her appt where we meet the ENT and surgeon and discuss the surgery that is scheduled tentatively on 6/11.

Hope you all have a great day!

I'm not a parent so my opinion likely doesn't count, but don't be so hard on yourself, he's going to lose those baby teeth anyway. ?

Good shave Chad!

Glad your little girl’s case is moving forward and a date is set! Hopefully it means she’s that much closer to stable health!

I tried that argument with my wife about the son's teeth. It didn't work LOL!

Great shave today.

Good luck with dentists and doctors.

Thanks Doug

Thank you. We are very hopeful that after the 11th she will be on the way a better lifestyle with much less antibiotics.

Nice one Chad...good luck later today with Connor and tomorrow with Sadie!

Thanks much appreciated.

All caught up, Chad. Good reads!

Thank you Chris.

Well Connor has a surface cavity so small they aren't going to fill it at this time. They just put some sealant and called it good.

Then once home the dog decided to eat an ant bait box. A quick call to the vet he said the poison level is so low that we should be fine, and just to watch her to make sure if she swallowed any of the plastic she can pass it. It never ends at the Vargo household lol

Ahh the exciting variety of life...it’s like getting your soap out for the day’s shave, but you don’t get to pick which one!

One of my dogs ate a good bit of fire ant killer. The stuff that is granulated and in the bag. My wife freaked out and we did the same. The vet just said to watch her and make sure she drinks plenty of water.

Good to hear that it wasn't a full cavity and only required some sealant. Good luck with Sadie today, Chad!

Oh boy. That's scary stuff. Thankfully Bailey (the pup) is doing fine and all seems good. She was more thirsty but the vet said that is expected. Not sure how or why but this puppy is definitely part of the family. She is going through a chewing stage right now but I still like her LOL.

Thank you Josh.

Great shave, Chad! Good luck with the kiddo today, and also hope the doggo is fine.

Thanks Jim. All good with the pup!

Razor: Parker Variant

Soap/cream: A&E Warrior of Howling Fjord
Brush: Semogue Owner's Club
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Fine Clean Vetiver

Well today I used the other sample of A&E, and I am going to be honest... Josh you shouldn't have sent these LOL! Now I want more. Today I paid more and closer attention to my lathering and I must say I did a much better job. I didn't get the foam like last time that took awhile to tame down. And because of that what really shined today was the SLICKNESS oh my goodness! Josh isn't lying this is a good soap base. And worth checking out. I know I will have a purchase in my future.

As to the scent I can't find this one online. Granted I didn't search overly hard. But upon sniffing it I kept telling myself vetiver and AdP mix. Allergies have been in overdrive lately so I am sure I am way off. But Josh if you wouldn't mind posting the scent profile here i'd appreciate it.

So rating this soap. Many of you remember my rating scale that I created over at B&B. I made a slight adjustment to it:

I hope this is a tad easier to use. Basically I will place a product I review in a box, 1 being the best and 10 being the worst (cremo lathering cream that's you!)

So I put the A&E comfortably in Box 3 Tier 1! Very good soap. And as I get continued use I could see it climbing the ladder.

Homefront:

As mentioned this afternoon we have Sadie's pre-surgery appt where we meet the doctor, discuss the surgery, and make final determination if the surgery is the best thing for her. After that I will be heading over to the weekly bingo where I will be calling some games.

Tomorrow I will be MIA a bit. As in the morning I have a golf tournament call
ed Fore the Children. All proceeds go towards my son's school so naturally I am golfing in it. After that I will pick up the wife and kids and we will head out to PJ Masks live. If you don't have young children do a quick google search and you will see what I am up against LOL.

Have a great weekend Cadre!

Nifty little shave, Chad, and I dig the update to the evaluation chart.

Hoping the best for you and the family this weekend. I have been to my share of similar shows, so just breathe deep and relax. It will be over before you know it!

Good shave Chad...glad you like the soap base! Here are the notes from the Warrior of Howling Fjord:

Bergamot, mandarin, neroli, green tea, blackcurrant, sandalwood, musk

Just when we all got used to your Tier rating system, you go and change it! OK, got it now.

Great shave Chad!

Glad to finally see what this tiered box system is about, I’d seen a couple others mention it, but no details. Interesting idea!

Have fun at the PJ Masks show! Rofl.

Thanks Jim. I will survive!

Thanks Josh. And I guess I wa WAY off. I think the tea mixed with the musk is what I confused for Vetiver.
