Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Nice one Chad...hopefully the summit's go without drama and you're able to clear the Proraso quickly.

Great reads and shaves of late Chad. I know all about being so busy that the journal does not get much love. When I clicked on your journal today, the first post I saw was your return from camping post. It sounds like it was a great time, except for Megan falling. Actually, I could very easily see myself doing that, running on autopilot.

Thanks Walt we had a good time and Megan is healing.

Chad, it's only going to be boring if you make it boring .

CRAP! I guess I made it boring.

Catching up Son, crazy times, add the KC into the mix and we can call it insane. At least the shaves are going well. Prayers for all

Great read. Use a boar brush on the Proraso, it will really let you dig in there and load up a ton.

I actually find that these Stirling Badger brushes use more soap than my boar brushes. Which is why I have been using them.

Great couple of shaves. Catching up.

Thanks Doug

Razor: Timeless / Injectah
Blade: 7 AM (4) Schick (?)
Soap/cream: Proraso Green
Brush: Stirling Finest Fan
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Proraso Green

Well today was just an okay shave. As you can see I used two razors today. When I started on my first pass it was ROUGH! I guess 3 shaves is the max for the CHEAP 7AM blades, so in the bin it went and I grabbed my trusty injectah that who knows how many shaves are on this blade, and was rewarded with a solid DFS+ shave. I wasn't chasing this morning as I am not feeling well but more on that later. I did include a SOTD pic kind of just to show how much PRoraso is left.

Homefront:

So as I mentioned I am not feeling well. I have had for about 2 weeks now what I thought was severe allergies which some years happens. But I usually get fall allergies not spring/summer. Anyways yesterday while at the office I just felt achey and very tired. So much pressure in my head also. When driving home I had the chills, I got home and crashed on the couch for a nap. When I woke I was covered in sweat, and my wife went into mom mode. I was running a fever of 103.5. So she loaded us all up and took me to instacare. Well let's just say I should've been to the doc sooner when the allergy medication wasn't helping. Apparently I have a severe sinus infection that has spread to both ears, and my throat. So prescribed a high strength antibiotic and two other drugs to help clear out the sinuses I was sent home. Once I treat the fever I feel relatively fine and can function. So I guess we will see how long I make it at work. Doc says I should be feeling practically 100% by Thursday. Which is good as I have that basketball clinic and I will NOT miss that no matter what.

Anyways have a good day Cadre.

Chad's got a head full of snot! Hopefully the antibiotics will knock that down quick. And here I was going to say you should live stream from your summit so we can see what that's all about.

Hope the Rxs take care of what ails you Chad. If you are feeling better today after only starting the course yesterday, it sounds like they will take care of the problem.

Yikes! Have some chicken soup and feel better soon!

That is on the menu for lunch!

Glad you will mend up quickly! Don’t push yourself too hard!

Thanks! Trying not to.

No live stream from the summit. BUT Maybe I will live stream the mail call expected Thursday

, when I get back from the basketball tourney.

Thanks Walt. I am hopeful also.

Get well soon.

I didn't like the 7AM blades. They were really rough on my face.

Thanks Doug. Yea the 7AM was okay for 3 shaves, really good on the second shave, but it dropped off real fast. I have 3 left. So maybe I'll travel with them on business trips, no big loss if TSA confiscates.
