Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Good shaves Chad.

I hope you find the Precious soon! It would be terrible if 2 hobbits ran off with it!

Great shave Chad!

Bummer about the ring. Hope you find it. Know anyone with a metal detector?

Just another reason not to wear your wedding ring while doing manual labor. I love my wife and would cut off a finger for her, but I don't want to donate one just because I caught my ring on something. Just google degloved fingers and ring finger injuries. I never wear a ring while doing manual labor.

ooops. Good luck with your search. My wife lost a nice three diamond ring I got her for one of our anniversaries. Her fingers are tiny to begin with and cold water while washing the van resulted in it coming off. We searched the drive and the road to no avail. I have a metal detector so I searched the grass where she dumped the wash bucket and wound up the hose ...little did I know she had spilled a whole box of tacks in the same area (she was on a ladder putting something up on The eves.) needless to say, I found a lot of tacks but no ring. I was forced to buy a second ring.

Great shave.

Good luck finding your ring.

Thanks Doug.

I didn't even consider that possibility. I don't have time for an adventure like that! Especially if it's going to be the extended version.

Not sure how much the metal detector would help as it is in the sprinkler valve box that it is lost I am 99% sure. There is metal and wires in there.

I hate to say this but I think it is gone for good. Not sure how I could possibly find it.

nice read Chad, and hope you find the ring
Nice shave Chad, good luck with the ring.
Nice shave Chad. Good luck finding the ring.

Thank you all.

All day I've been praying the St. Anthony prayer. I got home dug the sprinkler box up and boom it fell out right there! Cleaned it up and I'm proud to say I'm married again, and have been scolded for not getting it resized and for wearing while playing in the mud

Razor: Parker Variant
Blade: Treet (4)
Soap/cream: A&E So. Cal Hipster
Brush: 2017 B&B Team Brush from Rudy Vey
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Clubman Gent's Gin

Well today was a wonderful shave with a sample that Josh Dagwoodz sent me. This was my first go with the A&E. I know of Peter Charkalis and his business venture but have not purchased a soap as of yet. First off the scent... out of this world good! I really like this one. Nice beach drink scent going on here, I mainly smell banana and pineapple. I really enjoyed it. The performance was good but I think I added too much water as it got a little thin and airy, but was plenty slick to provide a WONDERFUL shave! I will not rate this soap until I get one more shave on it as I am afraid I ruined the lather. But overall for scent alone this might require a buy.

Homefront:

Well I did find my ring like I mentioned so happy to have found it. I will be getting sized VERY soon. We got the kids to bed early last night so we finally caught another episode of Game of Thrones. We love the show but this isn't a show to have playing while the kids are in the room. Up early though today and ready to tackle the day.

Have a great Wednesday Cadre.

Great shave today, Chad! Glad you like the SoCal Hipster, it really is a wonderful scented soap. One thing I like about Peter's soaps is he tends to scent them on the heavy side, so you're never wondering if you're missing something in the soap!

I haven't tried breaking the lather on his soaps yet...good to know there is a top end for how much water it will take in!

Great news on the ring, too!

It was fun catching up on your shaves and entries, Chad! I am very glad you found your ring. I know SWMBO had issues with hers falling off a few times once she lost a lot of weight, and we even started the insurance claim at one point because she was sure it was gone. Luckily we found it, and took it to the jeweler right away. I may be facing something similar once my weight loss progresses, but of course my ring is a lot less expensive to replace than hers, lol!

My oh my i would have lost my mind if i had lost my ring. SWMBO just bought us a close to matching set of silicone rings. The good one stays in the drawer at home now most of the time.

I am very happy I found the ring.

The SoCal Hipster is VERY highly scented... I love it!

That soap is on my short list. Great shave.

Thanks Don!

Great shave and picture Chad!

Thanks Craig.

Great shave and review.

Glad you found your ring.

Thanks Doug. I am also happy I found it.

Thanks Jim. Yea I am getting it re-sized very soon!

Trust me I was freaking out. Those silicone rings I worry about my finger getting hot. Does that make sense?

Great stuff Chad. Josh sent me a sample of A&E in another scent, though I have yet to give it a test run. The scent of that one is nice and strong as well. Peter Charkalis does not skimp on the frag in his soaps.
