Straight Shave #180

Razor: Feather AC SS
Blade: Feather Pro (1)
Soap/cream: Proraso Green
Brush: Stirling Finest Fan
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Proraso Green

Well today was a nice shave getting rid of 3 days growth. So I called up the big guns and had a wonderful shave today. I really love the feather system. Lot of talk around these parts of traditional straights, but I don't see a need at this time to fall down that rabbit hole. This is good enough for me.

Nothing crazy to report we had a great time camping and the van did better than expected on the tow. We got 21 MPG! I couldn't believe it. Granted not alot hills on this tow, just the last one that was about 5 miles long to get up to the campground. The real test will be the trip in June when we go over the Parleys summit up past Park City. I am feeling more confident we will be fine going up there but just might be slowest vehicle on the mountain that day. Oh well people can go around. We all slept like babies last night. And we kept two simple lists while we were out camping. One of things to fix, and one of things we forgot/need for the next trip. I have read all the journal but might have not posted in all of them. Great reads gents. Have a wonderful Monday.

Great shave to get back into the swing, Chad! Looking forward to more camping adventures!

When does football start back up for you?

YEouch! I know I got several sprains as a kid, but I think one now would have me laid up on the couch!

Good shave! The consistency and convenience of the Feather system is hard to beat!

Great read and shave Chad!

Sorry to hear about Megan's tumble, glad to hear nothing broken! Hope she is back to 100% soon!

Glad y'all had a great trip other than that.

What about the "Things we can do without list?"

Thanks Josh. I actually just got the new rules books in the mail the other day, and preparing for the test. The first weekend in June I am doing a basketball camp up at the University. Then Later in June I am doing a Football Camp. Pre-season starts in August. I have honestly just been nursing the foot and making sure it will be 100% because once August hits I will be on the field every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so I need it to hold up.

Great shave. I am glad that Megan didn't break anything.

Thank you!

My wife is a rock star, I told her to stay home today just to relax and nurse the sprain. Nope she was up and at 'em it's the last week of school she doesn't want to miss a day.

Good shave! The consistency and convenience of the Feather system is hard to beat!

Amen!

Great read and shave Chad!

Thanks Craig.

And I tried keeping one of those lists. My wife crossed off the few things I wrote on it, saying "yea but we might need it" How can I argue with that?

Nice catching up, saw the trip on FB looks like you and I both had great weekends. Hope the boss heals up fast!

Thanks TJ!

Yeap, she just re-confirmed you've got a keeper, Chad! We're in a hobby of excess, so when she says we need more...we go:

Awesome trip! Glad everyone had fun. Since this was a test trip, I'm sure the next one will be bigger and better!

Glad y'all had a nice camping trip, Chad. And hopefully your wife's ankle heals up soon.

Thanks KJ. We have at least one trip planned each month until October. So should have plenty more fun.

Glad y'all had a nice camping trip, Chad. And hopefully your wife's ankle heals up soon.

Straight Shave #181

Razor: Feather AC SS
Blade: Feather Pro (2)
Soap/cream: Mystic Waters Jasmine
Brush: Razorock Barrel Synthetic
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: AV Balm
Cologne: Penhaligon's Endymion Concentrate

Well Murphy visited this morning. Ugh. Got a nice cut on the left side of my cheek, just came in at the wrong angle and the feather blade ensured I paid the price. After using some styptic and cleaning up the rest of the shave. It all turned out okay actually. I used the balm to ensure no burn.

The Mystic Waters Jasmine is a very awesome scent and one of my favorite florals by far. Great scent that paired well with the Endymion. I do have a bottle of the cologne but Josh sent me a sample of the cencetrate. My goodness this stuff is strong!!! Almost too strong. Two small spritzes and I should be good for 3 days lol.

My boss is in town from New York so it is being a crazy week. I also run a group at work call Honoring Military and Veterans and we have a big event this Friday for Memorial day weekend. We have a guest speaker coming in to talk about the true meaning of Memorial Day and what it really is supposed to be for. I am also putting out an American Flag for each fallen Utah soldier since first Desert Storm to signify the ultimate sacrifice. So all of that coupled with the boss in town, I am a tad bit busy.

Hope you all have a good Tuesday.

nice read and shave Chad. Such good things you are doing, too bad you suck so bad at Magic Eye...... and Bingo AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Great shave Chad, even with the filet. Glad you like the Concentre...it's good juice!

Love seeing all the good things you're doing for the current and past service members...hits me right in the feels.

Bummer about the Mr. M visit, but otherwise, great shave, read, and picture! Hope the boss being in town doesn't get too stressful!

Good shave Chad, except for the cut of course.

Best of luck with the boss and getting things ready for Memorial Day!
