Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

I have so many great memories of my grandfather. Fishing on his boat, driving his boat, etc. It was fitting. I think that since he passed away Thursday we spent the weekend up at the lake with my dad, grandma, and us. Fishing and reminiscing.

Great way to honor the memories.
Sorry to hear of the loss.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather, Chad. I grew up with one grandfather (my dad's father - my mom's father passed a year before I was born) and he was my hero. I was very fortunate to have him up till I was 28 years old when he passed. Wonderful memories. And you're right, "Spend time with your parents while you have them."

On a happier note, congrats on your new job!

Thanks Chris. Nice hearing from you. Hope you are well

Well it's been over a month and time for an update. Lots going on around here. I am doing my best to keep up to date on all the happenings of the Cadre, and I feel out of the loop at times. So here's some updates:

Shaving: I am shaving about 5 times a week. still using that soap that Scuttlesoap sent me. It's not near me so I can't remember the name but its a good soap! Almost gone too.

Baby: We are officially in the second trimester and reality is hitting that we are going back to a diaper stage... Hard to believe that when this baby comes we will have a 9 year old, almost 6 year old and a newborn. We will be finding out the gender next month.

Camping: The season is winding down hoping to get out at least one more time. We have had a great year of trips and sadly it must come to an end.

Work: This new job is very demanding. Requiring over 55 hours a week. Good news is that relief is being promised in the form of getting a peer to help with the job so not all the responsibilities land on my shoulders.

Football: I passed the NCAA test, and am now a Div III certified official. Hoping to get some college games this year but it's not common for first timers. High school season starts this Friday. And I am also working a game Saturday at Weber State University. It is their annual Purple vs. White game and will be televised on the Big Sky Network.

Anyways hope you all are well.

There are babies coming in from all directions in The Cadre. Wonderful times for you & Megan, and all the other expectant families.

Those games will still be done by those who don't get assigned Pee Wee games
You ain't kidding. The UCLA team came to play a few years back and Michelle and I were worried that the UNLV team was made up of pee wee league players. The size difference was that significant. We do not have a real college football team here in Vegas.
