Yup that's a different soap being used today. When going through my soaps last night I realized I have a lot of CBL pucks lying around and figured I'd plop one in a mug and we'll what's not to love about peanut butter?

Final two weeks of regular season so most games are very good! Tonight I'll be doing the 1st place team vs the 2nd place team in region 2 so this should be fun! Hope you all are having a wonderful Friday

I say move the games outside. Hell...college basketball usually has their opening game of the season on an air craft carrier and all. Let's make the basketball games a rooftop event with Pay Per View TV deals and let the whole state go crazy. That or you just have a series of 3 on 3 pick up games in the school yard!

Well as you can see a few changes today as I continue on the 3017 of the PB soap. The shave was very good and reminded how much I enjoy the Variant Razor.

Well if it could go wrong today it went wrong. Had some serious issues at work this morning that led to needing a new computer and I lost a LOT of files that they currently can not recover until the threat is neutralized. I was told I might have lost some for good. And after 8 weeks of school the school where my wife works and kids attend had their first positive case. How did this happen. Well a mom and dad both tested positive and they figured they could send their son to school still! So far it appears the health dept and the school caught it early enough and as of right now that is the only known case in the school. But high alert for awhile. Thankfully it was in a class that neither of my family are in... But still! Can we just fast forward to the proven cure or immunization and get this over with?

That's very unfortunate and sad to hear. Hope they contained it. I truly wonder what it will take to get people to do the right thing. I hate to say it, but maybe the mom and dad should be charged with assault for knowingly putting people in danger and/or endangering the welfare of minors? To me there is not much excuse for sending their child to school when they knew they were both positive. That just seems completely selfish to me.

Sorry for the rant, but this is hitting a little close to home for me today too. We had our first positive case in our school today. Unfortunately a elementary teacher and her husband, a local Police Officer tested positive. That’s the 4th local Officer to test positive this week out of a 15-person department. I hope not, but my neighbor may be one of them, I have not seen him in a couple days to ask but all 4 were on the night shift and that is usually what he works. I pray he is not positive as he has a young family with 2 daughters – 8 and 6 and his wife is 6-7 months pregnant.

Well another shave today but switched out the brush. Had a nice shave today, but did end up with a nic on my upper lip. I haven't gotten a nic from a DE in a long time so that was interesting. It bled enough to even warrant styptic so really threw me for a loop. But after seeing Murphy stop by in @BarberDave video yesterday apparently he headed north and got me. Be on the look out he is on the move!

Well it's the last regular season week of football so a lot of football this week, and then playoffs start. And I am also helping with the little league playoffs which start this weekend. Still good news on the covid front at the school. As of today it all still seems to be contained to that one student.

Been slammed with football this week. Today I drew the afternoon game kickoff at 1pm was for the region 1 title.

And because someone on the zoom call mentioned they want football stories here's one from today.

My position is linesman. One thing we do is switch sides at halftime. So each sideline gets each linesman official for a half of the game. Well at the beginning of the second half I was going to the sideline of a HC who is known to be very well rude towards officials he doesn't know. Seeing as this game was two hours north of my house I have never done one of his games before. So he was testing the limits and keeping the box full of coaches which is in my way and a safety hazard if I need to get somewhere quick. After the 4th time of asking him to get back he said, "come on chad don't worry about the sideline worry about the game my hell!" So I stopped the game turned around called the coach over. And very politely said, "coach listen to me and listen closely, if I ever see more than 3 coaches in that box to send a play call in, or any coach in the box during a play I will throw a flag each time." Fast forward to the next play he is standing there. So I throw the flag. As I'm going to report he screams, "I had to see if you're serious!"

Now according to our rule book sideline warning works it's way up, first offense is a warning, second is 5 yard penalty, and third is unsportsmanlike on the coach. BUT there is a caveat we as officials have discretion to leap frog if necessary. So when I get to the white hat to report the foul I tell him go UNS 15 yard. He said why, and I said to show him I'm serious.

Didn't hear one word from that coach for the rest of the game. Just took the first 5 plays of the half to show him he can't walk all over me.
 
Nice photos, you should tell the photographer to focus a little better though, the guy in front of you looks really sharp and you’re a bit fuzzy in both.
It’s funny to hear stories about coaches with attitude problems or who insist on being part of the field drama, my high school coaches were really stand up guys who would never jeopardize the experience for any of us. We had a couple of butt heads who pushed kids too far or acted like one of those coaches from an 80’s movie but my coaches were quick to show US we didn’t have to accept it. Those days are gone I guess.

Seriously on the photographer lol. And let me tell ya... The coaches who focus on coaching and things they can control win more games. The ones who focus on officials and other things do not. Now obviously some officials are NOT good and I agree sometimes you need to stand up for your players. That's why when I blow a call. I tell the coach, I blew that sorry. When I do that they tend to move on better.
