Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Congrats on the 3017 Chad!
I think the current state of the world is taking its toll on a lot of people right now. Aside from the obstacles we are having to deal with we are also not able to socialize like we are used to. Humans are very social creatures so being restricted just piles on top of everything else. If you need to vent or talk you can always shoot me a PM bud. Take care, be safe, and hug your loved ones!

Razor: Aluminum General from Passaround
Blade: Schick Proline (5)
Soap/cream: CBL Shave Stick Club Guy
Brush: Synthetic Cream
Aftershave1: Lucky Tiger
Aftershave2: Lime Sec

Well had this soap from Chris I love shave sticks and just haven't gotten around to using it. FInally did today. The soap performed wonderfully and provided an excellent lather. I really enjoy soap sticks, I know a lot of guys don't like them but I always have. A shave stick just might be my next 3017. I have a few that are at least half gone so they would go quick.

The razor was just okay, felt out of balance compared to my General but the result was still good.

Really getting discouraged. Fighting this constant battle with ourselves of, was Corona blown out of proportion? and it's not safe to risk going out. At my wife's school they allowed parents to come pick up their child's items because school is out. One stipulation was that your temeprature is checked before going to the teacher's classroom. Apparently one of the parents to my wife's class had her temp checked and itw as 101! I don't know about you but when I have a fever of 101 I am not leaving the couch. So frustrated with society as a whole. Then we want to do something anything... been trying to find a nice used motorhome because the tent trailer while nice lacks a bathroom. And my wife would feel more comfortable camping and not having to use public restrooms with corona going on. Have put out a lot of feelers but no luck finding what we want. We have a trip booked in July we will see if that happens, but we are going with my parents and they have a trailer so I could bring the pop up and we could use their restroom they said. On top of all that this weekend was when we were going to leave for our 10 year anniversary cruise. That's obviously been cancelled. I know i'm venting and I apologize.

Have a good day cadre.

I feel your pain Chad. People are stupid. Leaving your house with a 101 fever right now is just stupid! And irresponsible!

I understand that you are apprehensive. I too wonder how much of this was panic. I do think the situation was and still is serious, but at some time we all have to decide for ourselves how big of a risk we are willing to take.

The wife and I are still cautious for the most part. We are still not going to restaurants (doing take out though). And the wife isn't going to large stores (she has gone to some baby boutiques. I don't think being holed up in the house is 1) the answer and 2) healthy! We have all done our part with this pandemic. We are learning more and more about it. I think getting out and camping is one of the best things you and the fam can do as long as you are not having a large scale family reunion. If you are worried about the kids having it and infecting the parents? Get a test done just before you go. It's not the end all to be all...but it's more information. You live in Utah...there are plenty of places you can go away from people to bring the spirits up and get some fresh air. In the grand scheme of things, I think that is pretty low risk.

I really hope that you find the motorhome you are looking for soon and for a reasonable price.

I am sure you will feel a little better once you spend a weekend getting some wilderness isolation with the family.

Can't say much that hasn't already been said. Hang in there. Better safe than sorry. People are selfish and stupid. Happy roughly 10 years !!!😎

Good Shave Chad, and Hang in there are remember what I said to you the other night Throw the ball to the Center, let him make the play and you just LIVE

Good luck with the motor home search! I’ve always thought having one would be fun...but then I think of the gas n maintenance bill...

One of the reasons I bought the bidet. So if they picked me they could say, "at least the human race is clean"
Notice Ladies and Gentlemen that there was NO OBJECTION to the "probing" and maybe looking forward to it like ("primping for a date") (DISCLAIMER: That Last part was Sharon's Contribution HEHE

Well found a 24 class C motorhome to go look at. I'm sure aliens will land and abduct us while looking at it. 2020 being the year of of no fun and all
What brand and year? One hint--check the age on each of the tires. There is a code on the side of each tire which will tell you the age. If it is 5 years old, you have to change it out because it is aged out. That can be expensive. It can also be a bargaining chip to use when negotiating price.

Razor: Occam Enoch
Blade: Feather ProGuard (1)
Soap/cream: CBL Ethos Lime
Brush: Techichi Beehive
Aftershave1: Lucky Tiger
Aftershave2: Lime Sec

Well today's shave was interesting. The razor was just okay... I went into more detail in the passaround thread if you are interested. The soap was excellent though. Really like what @CBLindsay and @Dragonsbeard did here. The performance was excellent and the scent is spot on lime which I love. I don't have the aftershave so can't talk on that, but I am sure it is just as good as the other splash I have from Ethos.

Also got a nice mail call today!

Homefront:

We did go look at an RV last night a guy selling one about ten min away from us. It was a little bit above our price range but it literally hits most everything we want. I gave him an offer that I feel was respectable but his wife said she wanted to see what someone would say that is coming to look at it today. I have a feeling they are a little upside down and might not be willing to deal. Which is unfortunate as I don't want to end up in the same situation which is why I offered what I would be comfortable palying. We shall see though what happens. Aside from that trying to stay positive.
