Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Razor: Feather Imposter that takes half a DE
Blade: Shark SS (6?)
Soap/cream: Stirling Boat Drinks
Brush: Stirling Finest Fan
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel Cucumber
Aftershave2: Stirling Boat Drinks

Well yes another journal entry. I am really enjoying the 3017 journey currently. I just rotate brushes daily. Same razor for on average a week at a time. I am really digging the Stirling Boat Drinks and I haven't 3017ed a Stirling soap from brand new to end EVER... so here we go.

The neck beard has been gone for awhile and now I am just sporting a goatee I think is what it's called or a van dyke.

The shaves have been going well, and admittedly I tend to pick a journal and read it and then fall behind for awhile. It's pretty embarrassing honestly but work at home, the new job, and the kids trying to distance learning makes it really difficult to stay up to date here how I'd like too.

A mystery package arrived today from @dangerousdon he sent me some more of that delicious cajun seasoning and even the next heat level. Man i'm excited! The stuff is awesome. IT was a nice surprise and put a smile on my face. Honestly some of my best friends are on this site and don't even get to see you all face to face, although the Zoom calls are always fun!

Homefront:
Being so dormant is really not doing well. After th earthquake I lost 8 pounds. Well now I I am up 10 pounds so a net of two in the wrong direction. Little bit of a wake up call and going to commit to riding that bike I bought yesterday as excercise. Since I probably won't be back to work in a LONG time. And if I do it will only be one day every other week apparently. SO I figure a 20 min bike ride on my lunch break at home is better than nothing.

Anyways I wish I could promise to update here more regularly but then i'd be lying. Stay safe everyone! Thanks for everything around here!

Glad the stuff brought a smile to your face! That bike will do you more good than you think. Even if you just leisurely ride it for a bit each day. Pounds or no pounds...just get outside for a bit...the sunshine and fresh air improves the mood.

A lot of people are digging the Boat Drink scent from Stirling...man it's hard to keep up with all the good stuff Rod has!

Sorry about the earthquakes. It seems like y'all are getting them as often as we get tornado warnings here. Glad you and the family are safe, and believe me you are not alone in this weight loss struggle without the gyms being open.

I could not imagine how long it would take to 3017 a Stirling soap. Honestly I couldn't imagine 3017ing a soap period. Although I may participate in the next one we do as a forum. Have a great week Chad!

Seriously! I'm supposed to be in the gym like 5 times a week right now preparing for football season. Well enough sitting around. I did a 45 min bike ride, and went for a run this evening... Well I ran for a bit, walked for a bit, and gasped for air for a bit. Crazy how quickly you can fall out of shape.

I will be ready for that fitness test come July... Assuming it happens!

Razor: Razorock SLOC
Blade: Parker (2)
Soap/cream: Stirling Boat Drinks
Brush: TSC Legacy Brush
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel Cucumber

Well 3 days in a row of this awesome soap and I am LOVING it! This is going to be a fun 3017. I also went back to the double open comb from Razorock this is a fun razor, mellow but efficient.

Nope, my shaves lately have been happening while my wife is in the shower... if I grab the camera you all might have a funeral to attend... virtually of course.

Nothing crazy. Days are spent working around the house after work, been working in the garden getting that ready to go. And really starting to contemplate chickens... but not sure where to begin.

We are still on government imposed poultry lockdown otherwise we would have more chickens. I am down to one chicken and 4 ducks, pretty fun little creatures if you ask me, they have more character than you would think and they are really good at keeping the bugs at bay. Sounds strange but they keep my dog company too. We have a FAT squirrel that steals the chicken egg and some of the duck eggs so I really can't say I am getting reimbursed for the feed I give the chow-hounds though. You really dont need a chicken coop Chad, just toss em in your back yard and let em roam. You'll appreciate the free fertilizer!

what about winter?

Yea I can't tell my wife because she'd have a zoo if I let her... If I say I am 'thinking' about chickens she will buy the chickens and expect to figure out the rest while she plays with the chickens.
don't worry Chad I get Peppermint and you will get chickens and ducks we are up to 6 chickens and 7 ducks ducks are hillarious

Razor: Razorock SLOC
Blade: Parker (3)
Soap/cream: Stirling Boat Drinks
Brush: TSC 2nd Anniversary Brush
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel Cucumber
Aftershave2: Stirling Boat Drinks

Well another great shave was had. With the TSC brush I flung some lather around but got a NICE lather and a good shave. This Boat Drinks just keeps climbing the ladder for me. I think I am in it for the long haul, this tub seemed particulary full, and well over the advertised weight. But I did not weigh it's first run.

Rains have settled in the last couple of days, but still sneaking in a bike ride on my lunch today. Went 4 miles not much but it's all I can do on my short break. We also bought a bike rack and trailer to put Sadie in. So I see some family rides this weekend hopefully. Hope you all are well and healthy. Have a great weekend.

You Need a Coop for them to sleep in and Laying boxes. a Run is optional depending on if you want chicken poop all over your back yard and what the local predators are like. I say get some!
