Razor: Parker Variant
Blade: Asco Red/Blue (2)
Soap/cream: Soap Commander Recreation
Brush: Stirling Finest Fan
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Soap Commander Recreation

Sticking with the them today I grabbed SC Recreation which is Mango, Mandarin, and Dates. This is a nice fruity scent on the soap that performs real well. Just wish the blade would have performed. Asco blades are NO GOOD!

Raining all day today, but better than snow. Sad to see what is happening in Paris to the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Pairs has had it pretty rough lately, the fire is a tragedy, one of the greatest wonders of the west.

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: ShaverBoy (1)
Soap/cream: Jeeves Mountain Rain
Brush: TSC Anniversary brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Jeeves Mountain Rain

Well sticking with the theme today I grabbed Mountain Rain. Love this scent and the performance is a solid Tier 2 soap. The shave went real well and the performance of the blade was actually pretty good too.

Well the refinance we close on Thursday so glad that is all done. But more importantly it was timed with something special in mind. Being out of credit card debt. Like most people in their 20s we accrued some credit card debt, and were determined to pay it all off without ever having to roll it into the house, that just seemed like cheating. Well here we are the last payment was made today and we are out of credit card debt. Took us 5 years to do it but we did it. All we have now is the house, Megan's car, and some student loans. It all seems more manageable now. So the refinance we did take out some cash for windows and heating/air but we also lowered our payment and knocked some years off the loan. The heating and air will be installed next week, and the windows are being custom built and will be ready first week of May. Looking forward to having all this done. Have a good day Cadre.

Congrats on loosing the credit card debt, Chad. (y)
We have not carried a balance on ours for over 20 years, and that was only for 1 month when I took SWMBO (then girlfriend) on a trip to Cuba. We treat credit cards as if it were our hard cash (not free money), spend at or below our limit, and always pay it off. If we want to put down a big purchase, I prepay a boatload down to actually have them owe me money for a week so that we don't need to increase our limit to buy said big ticket item. If the banks auto-increase our limit, we contact them and tell them to drop it back.

$20,000 available on my card but pay it off every month. If I won't be able cover it that month it doesn't get put on it. BIG congrats Chad. 7 years now for me being credit card debt free and it is a good feeling for sure.

Ditto on all the commendations about the CC debt. My wife and I did the same thing 20 some years ago and have not looked back. Sacrifice today brings more tomorrow.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal there Chad. We are working our way that direction as well.

Yup we did the Dave Ramsey snowball method and did play the balance transfer game a bit. Glad it's all over, and we can put the extra money towards those student loans now.

That is what we plan on doing now, with our our miles card.

Thanks Dave. Yea we have a pretty high credit limit available now between mine and my wife's cards. We are waiting for everything to reflect paid off on our credit reports then closing most of them to only leave us with 2 cards to earn points/miles.

Go Chad! Keep the debt low and build your college war chest way before it’s needed.

A goal of mine is to be able to provide more for my kids tuition than my parents could mine.

We also treat our cards like cash. They are paid off every month.

Yup that is the plan now!

AMEN!

Nothing crazy to report. Things are going well and the weather is trying to warm up. Hoping it dries out from all the rain so I can mow at least the front yard tomorrow or Friday and then the back on Saturday. After the fertilizer was applied the yard is growing quickly, which means the garden will be planted soon! I can already taste the fresh tomatoes.

Well today I decided to put the bad blade shaves on hold and have a different kind of bad shave. Yup I put the handle to the side and only used the head. Well that was interesting. ATG around chin proved more difficult than I liked. But overall the shave was pretty good. I did use the Icarus base soap today the Sweet Lemon is a wonderful soap and I absolutely love it.
