Chad Uses BAD blades!

Would you put the Shark Stainless Steel up there with some of your best? That might be the buy the 100 Blade pack. My personal opinion. But if keeping a low budget in mind I would agree. Good show.

The more I read about the Sputnik I sent you might be in for a good shave. i might have to find you a Treet Black Beauty.. Cool looking Carbon blade but I need an opinion I can trust. Let me send a pack your way.

Surprise! I didn’t think it would do that well. Good maybe, but not 100 ct.

Good shave doo with the Shark doo!

\n\nSo my current 100 packs that I have bought are Nacets, Gillette Yellow, Astra SP, and Personna. I would say they are better than Personna and about on par with the other 3 honestly. But Astra SP are still my favorites. Other blades that I really like are the Silver Blues, Wilkinson Sword, and Gillette black just going off of memory. \n\nI guess it is put up or shut up, I will be buying a 100 pack after the new year of the Shark SS, in my opinion it is worth the risk for quality control, which from my research that claim holds more validity on the Chrome.\n\n

\n\nI was shocked as well, but it did hit all the marks. Now if I ranked all the \"good blades\" who knows where it would end up, but it is a respectable blade and at its price point I see no harm in buying 100. If the price was higher it would have landed in the good rating.\n\ndoo doo doo!

You need to add a Gillette Platinum to the list. I think those are as good as, or superior to, GSBs.

FYI. I was just looking on Amazon a few minutes ago. There is a seller, called b2c2c, that fulfills through Amazon who has the Shark SS 100-packs for $6.55 available with Prime Shipping.

I am pretty sure I have some Gillette Platinum blades at home. If I don't I know I have used them. I think I have a few 5 packs at home. They are good blades and do not belong in this bad blade series in my opinion.

100 shark blades for $6.55 is a good deal. EDIT: Got them for free. The fact that you can redeem cashback from your credit card on amazon is awesome.

I am looking around for more bad blades. I should have some more to send you soon.

\nI have 200 of the Treet Blacks. I really like them in certain razors. They seem to work best in my vintage Gillettes. I think they are worth a bulk purchase. \n\nItalian Barber has 100 packs for $8 and 200 packs for $14, which I think is a decent deal.\n\nThey also have the benefit, perhaps a dubious one, of being easier to strop and rehone than stainless blades.

Then it's not really free right? Gave up your cash back........?

WOW, now that IS, a good deal. And as you said you found them to be as good as your three other best. Great no brainer.. Nothing better than free in my book.

I was about to make the purchase but I read a review that it is not made for thick, coarse wiskers.

That said Chad.. you have a 10 pack coming your way.. Look out in the mail.

\\\\n\\\\nI figured if I am going to give a blade a 100 PACK rating I should definitely order them to prove it. \\\\n\\\\n

\\\\n\\\\nOh boy... more bad blades! Remember guys this isn\\\\\\\'t a challenge to turn my face raw LOL. \\\\n\\\\nI would say my whiskers grow somewhat quickly but are wiry if that makes sense. Perhaps they will work. \\\\n\\\\nI have heard those blades tend to rust easily. OR am I thinking of a different blade? Do I need a tetanus booster?

"DangerousDoug" does have a nice ring to it...

I am just waiting on an order from eBay and a couple of other things for a "care package" for you Chad.

It is inherent in your BAD Blades challenge that you will sometimes get a raw face. You kinda signed yourself up for this one.

Definitely be careful with most of the Treet line. Many of them are Carbon Steel, so dry the blade off after you shave with it or you run the risk of getting rust.

my goal is not to seek out your worst nightmare. I promise to shave with every blade I send you. At least twice. I believe if you don’t dry these after use they can. It’s like a carbon knife. As long as there is no rust I think you are safe

I agree I need to get to the Rockwell sooner rather than later.

Tomorrow the Sputnik is on deck. Then rockwell

Love this thread Chad! I could knap a flint bladed straight razor for you to try

Actually a flake of flint or obsidian is sharper than steel so I'm guessing if you could secure a flake in something it probably would deliver a great shave. I know, I know, me first right?
