Straight Shave #878
TSC Legacy Brush
Lisa's NHC (sample)
Feather SS /Feather proguardx2
Zoologist "Camel"
I have been a little off my game of late, with 5 days of no shave followed by an evening shave I got a bit lazy. On Saturday I used the General then skipped the sunday shave. My wife has the flu so I was unable to get my gear prepped last night which meant I needed to stick with the Feather. Fortunately Lisa's soap, the TSC legacy brush and the Feather SS make for a pretty brainless and amazing shave.
I can't say much about the Lisa's sample (she would have to kill me if i divulged too much) but I will reiterate what I said in Lisa's welcome thread ...She is a master of her craft.
The 0600 shave went well, a wonder 3 pass BBS with only one slight weeper. The alum proved the shave was a little closer than i first thought but the WH splash cooled it all down.
I didn't post my mail calls but over the last few weeks I acquired a few new frags. I now have some Tom Ford Grey Vetiver (OMG, this stuff is awesome), some Rose Absolute & Oud and an assortment of Zoologist testers. I have been carefully working my way through the Zoologist samples, you gotta me careful experimenting too much. Today was Camel, a somewhat exotic spicy scent with that classic Zoologist undertone.
I tried BAT on Friday, it was one of the mildest scent I have experienced from Zoologist. The predominant note is wet earth, with fruits being a secondary note. I actually thought this one was quite similar to Chiseled Face Sherlock.
HYRAK is on my list to try again when it isn't so hot. The escent is bold and animalistic and probably best when I am not running above 99 degrees.
on deck is MOTH, a scent that has a description I am eager to try.
UPDATE on the new car purchase/lease...
My lease was due to be up at the end of July but I was running a little high in the miles department so I decided to turn it in a little early. As I mentioned before, I don't like shopping for a vehicle (nor do I like shopping for a mattress or shoes) so i let my car lady do all the work. I have known the owner of this dealership for quite some time so I know they are going to treat me right, and treat me right they did. My car lady picked out an attractive silver /dark silver colored GMC Terrain with a few little upgrades to make me happy. Since she had done all the leg work the process was totally painless. I spent about an hour at the dealership, most of that time just getting caught up with her and the owner. 4 signatures and I was done.
