I could do without the acrylic scales, though. I prefer natural materials.
I usually do too, but there are some synthetic options that are pretty amazing. Most of the brush handles I turned were wood, but once I discovered Shokwood I was hooked.

My feet are different sizes. The left foot is larger than the right, but about the difference between dress socks and heavy wool socks. This can make buying shoes on-line problematic. I've been looking for a pair of more casual shoes I can wear in the winter with heavy wool socks. I've got plenty of boots, but I don't like to wear boots around the house, if they're not dress boots. (I know, too many rules). The Aldens that arrived yesterday are on the "Barrie" last, which runs big. I thought my usual size 11, on this last, might fit the bill. And do they! The fit is perfect with heave wool socks, despite my feet. I'm not sure they'll be as perfect in thinner socks, but that's not what they're for anyway. I've got plenty of shoes and boots for that. And the finish on these shoes is pretty remarkable. I can't find a stitch out of place or an end that isn't cut neat. I can't wait to see how the natural cromexcel leather ages. These won't get any polish, just occasional cleaning and leather care stuff. Very happy with these shoes.

Sounds like your normal
Some Size Difference Between Feet Is Normal
But this does not mean that different sized shoes are needed. If one of your feet is half a size longer (for example: if your left foot is a size 9 and your right foot is a size 8.5) or one width size bigger, you do not need to wear different sized shoes.
