Brew's Foul Concoction

Starting snowing here about 30 mins ago, Larry. *blah* At least I don't have to drive anywhere.
 
All this talking of brooks and snow. What's everybody's obsession with different states of water? Gatorade is better!

This weekend's Feather shaves got me thinking about Japanese razors. This morning I used one of my favorites, the Manaslu. It's one of the few Japanese razors that has a thumb notch. Great shaver. I think I'll take a tour through the Japanese blades over the next couple of days. Software was CF, Tabac, and Habit Rouge.
 
Day 2 with the Manasalu and another fine shave. I think I'm going to try to polish off the GFT lavender cream I've been enjoying; I can see the bottom of the tub. I usually don't use the same soap or cream twice in a row, but now that CF has returned, there's really no need to have the GFT around. I tried to pair Clubman SR with Zoologist's Civet. It works, but is a bit schizophrenic. I wonder how SR will play with Shalimar? I'll have to see tomorrow.

Hagen Elephant is the next Japanese razor in my limited tour of Japan. I've only ever seen one other of these razors. I waited years to find one, when one of the two owners let me know his was available. Not even a second's thought went into this purchase.

I decided against trying Special Reserve with Shalimar. Too jarring of a contrast, so I'll substitute AoS oud balm, which I know works well.
