2019 Shave # 56 ( 111 Consecutive Shaves )

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate #5
Blade: Sputnik blade #3 (5) Blade #2 (5) Blade #1 (18)

Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia

Soap: Lakewood Soap Company Smokeberry
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70

Aftershave 2: Stetson
Cologne: Stetson

Decided to use my 3rd scent from Lakewood Soap Co,, Smokeberry and again an awesome scent and performance the same stellar performance. Linda clearly did her homework not just on coming up with the base but nailing the scents for aroma as well as strength. I already have 2 or 3 more scents in my buy radar as well as 1 balm to try just to see (I'm not much of a balm guy) Sputnik on shave 5 got a smooth comfortable shave. Today puts me at 3 blades and 28 shaves with the Sputnik but we still have another 5 days to wrap up this 1 blade thingy. Topped it off with Stetson Aftershave and will cover that with some Stetson Cologne before I go out the door. Have a Resplendent day Cadre !!!

Beale Street looks pretty good to me too. Bet Don would like it !! It'll be in my next order and I will send it to him!

There you go...I know this is what you actually meant to say!

2019 Shave # 57 ( 112 Consecutive Shaves )

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate #5
Blade: Sputnik blade #3 (6) Blade #2 (5) Blade #1 (18)

Brush: Brad Sears

Soap: The Club The Novelist
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70

Aftershave 2: The Club The Novelist

Had a sample of this and while not a stand out scent for me it is the typical quality performer soap and AS I get from Peter and I do enjoy it. His and CFG are my top 2 performers for how I want an AS to feel if I get a scent I want. Glad I picked this set up. Here are the notes from the site.

If you're looking for sophisticated & unique spicy oriental & wood scent, this is a shaving soap for you. The Novelist has a sophisticated, spicy oriental scent that was inspired by Histoires de Parfum 1899. The scent consists of Bergamot, Juniper, Black Pepper, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Iris, Vetiver, Tobacco and Amber. Many people have said HdP 1899 is a more refined version of Viktor & Rolf Spice Bomb with added vanilla and other aromatic spices. This will be a classic for sure.

I get a little of the vanilla but truly to me all the notes come together in a nice unison that is very balanced with nothing jumping out as a standout. I like it. Shave #6 on 3rd Sputnik blade that may go the 4 more to finish the month..... COME ON MARCH !! Not a bad blade but not a first pic. I have gotten a good feel for this as a everyday work horse if needed though. Nice to see some new members join and be getting into some discussions. Welcome to all and Have a great day Cadre !!!

Every Time I go to the Shaving Shop Club to look at A&E products...I really consider this soap as it really sounds like the scent is right up my alley! I'm with you...Come on March! But for other reasons! Great shave today Dave!
