Just kidding...

Personally I think he improved it with the Clubman. Not a fan of coconut, big fan of powder.

Yep, coconut turns my stomach. Where clubman always brings my mind to the barbershop.

I think you proved your proved your point with the Sputnik. You can use it at a comfortable level but if you can't get a quality shave why go one. I am feeling that way with my Astra SS after only four uses but I think I can get 1-2 more quality shaves out even though the comfort is diminishing.

Thanks guys, The Coconut Lime was bought for the wife but she prefers her Trumpers Lime cream and so it is in the stack of Stirling I have. I am trying to go systematically thru the shelves in order until I use everything once with an occasional cheat day(s). Not a huge fan of it but it was on the shelf so I ate my veggies first before getting to Stirlings I like.
Good shave Dave! How’s the back feeling lately?
Thanks Chris, I inherited the family curse of Osteoarthritis so I've endure pain pretty much since my 30's. The fall stiffness has subsided so we're down to what's normal. Thanks for asking.

2019 Shave # 45

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Sputnik (18)

Brush: Sorrentino Hybrid with 1/4 Moon Synthetic

Soap: Stirling Margaritas In The Arctic
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Icy Velva

So up today was MITA from Stirling. This leaves 1 more out of the 5 I have that hasn't been used in the last month so Sharp Dressed Man is up tomorrow to round out getting those used. Nice menthol for today was topped off with Icy Velva to add to the cooling. Great lather that got better with each pass. Years ago I never got enough water in my Stirling which really is a great soap to be a benchmark as Josh does. With all the soaps out there we sometimes need this reminder. Glad I'm going thru mine again. I've also been working thru my Stirling Bath Soaps and will need more soon. The Sputnik was shave # 18..................Have a great day Cadre !!

"Margaritas in the ATTIC!" I love it...inside joke from the other place...nobody will likely get it except maybe a couple from here. But I say it anyway because it makes me smile and I could care less if anyone else does get it. Long story short, I thought for a long time that the name of this soap was Margaritas in the Attic instead or Arctic. The name never made sense to me and I just tossed it up to Stirling Soap having a quirky sounding named soap. It wasn't until a couple of years later that I realized that the name was with Arctic and really felt quick silly!

I always marvel at that brush Dave...Eric did a great job with that handle! Today sounded like a great shave Dave!

A moisturizing bath soap or two sounds nice. I’ve been using a near scentless body wash for years...one gets tired of the lack of scent after a while...

I hate body wash. Too many chemicals. I've been using bar soap in the shower almost as long as I've been traditional wet shaving. It was just another part of my conversion to traditional products.
