Great photos, Dave, as usual. And the Nuavia line scents are simply fantastic, no doubt. I wish I could coax a bit better performance from them at my house, but still top notch none-the-less.

Thanks Chris

I'm looking outside at the snow again.. Downright depressing...

We have the AC on, LOL

Just getting caught up on your journal, Dave. Awesome entries, as always.

I just love the look of the Wacker Chavalier. Was that a limited edition or something? I see it pop up every once in a while on the forums. Just a great-looking blade.

STARDATE - AD: 20180409 - SR Shave #898
Pre Shave Lather / Hot Towel & Rinse / 50 laps TM pre / 30 laps Trans Ark Post /
50 laps Westholme & Linen / Lucky Tiger Post Shave Salve / Cold Towel & Rinse

Boker 5/8
Sorrentino Barzini / Tuxedo Synthetic
RR Santa Maria del Fiore Shave Soap / Aftershave Splash
L'Occitane L'Occitan EdT

On the short list to 900 shaves so far and most have become quite routine and great. Mr. Murphy keeps me on my toes and is ever lurking waiting for complacency. Today I stayed in Italy again except for a French detour of the EdT. Needed a good match and the L'Occitan fit the bill.

This old NOS Boker continued to impress, so much so that I am picking a an Arbolito to keep it in the family. I have a few more on the radar, like another Koraat, a Fili 13 to complete the set, and a Riga, just to have a 10/8 blade, LOL

The SMDF is a unique latering soap, I suspect it is made by ABC for RR, but there is another maker in Florence that this may be made by. Either way it is wonderful, a trick to get the water right, and can have a bit of a slight grit if you go to the face to fast. When right however, it is amazing stuff and typical Italian fragrance wise. Perfect for a hot day like we are starting to see.

3-passes and the Boker honored me with a DSBBS (G) (6), so no chest bursters today and Xeno is a happy Alien. Finished up with the SMDF splash and a few Vasilli's of the French juice and good to go. not bad for a mid afternoon lazy shave.

Enjoy your evening

Great shave Dave. The one time I used that soap it was out of a sample and must not have gotten it right. The slickness wasn't quite right and it never got rid of the grit. I will be buying a full tub at some point to try again. You guys haven't led me astray yet.

That soap is on my shortlist...great shave today!

Great picture, read, and shave Dave!

I've been eyeing that Boker Arbolito myself. I've been itching for a new "new" razor.

Thanks Craig, I have been eyeing it for a few years, I have some Fendrihan points I may finally use, LOL

I have been tooting the Razorock horn for awhile. Glad you have finally come around.

Did you change the title of your journal?

What's the SOS like on the SMDF once lathered? I saw some when I was at a brick and mortar store; but just a sniff from the jar, it seemed rather subtle.

This has probably already been asked, but are your soaps and razors now tax deductible? If so Whoooopeee!

Pre Shave Lather / Hot Towel & Rinse / 50 laps TM pre / 30 laps Trans Ark Post /
50 laps Westholme & Linen / Lucky Tiger Post Shave Salve / Cold Towel & Rinse

Ed Wusthof Tridente 144
Semogue 620 / 2-band boar
Beehive Crisp Mountain Spring Shave Soap
WSP Matterhorn AS Splash
WSP Matterhorn EdP

Nice early morning shave today 96 degrees is the official forecast, so mountain feeling it was. Beehive and WSP have nailed Silver Mountain Water is a much more palatable price point, and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

The injury on the Tridente still have not made a shave difference and under the loupe have not cracked, so I will leave well enough alone. she still hones up well and continued to be a favorite in the den.

Then shave was a 3-pass adventure today with a tad bit if cleanup in the neck area for DSBBS, a bit of talc and the EdP and ready for the day

Set-up:

Enjoy your day Gentlemen

Great shave today...it's great that the nick on the blade isn't affecting the shaves or progressing beyond what it is currently. That is an absolutely beautiful piece of SR artistry for sure!
