FINALLY! Sunday was here and a proper shave with a proper razor and software. I had been going through shelf #3 prior to school, but today Opuntia and all it's glory called and I have to answer it. Glad I did!

Pretty interesting week at the shop did about 18 chops including all the fun ones like fades, crew, and flattops, and my favorite the Gentlemen's Cut. Quite a few shaves as well. Took my ACDX in at the instructors approval, and that has been a game changer in both shave quality to the client, and ease in transition to the one handed method of the straight shave. It more than makes up for the lather quality coming from those "latherizers". It is getting more routine, although I still shave my way ( both hands ) at home. I did discover that for the state board exam I can use a regular straight so that may indeed be an option, as the school's owner indicate that doing so really impresses the board during the practical portion of the testing while they are walking around judging.

Today's shave was pretty routine, but very nice. Opuntia is the top dog in the den in all categories. So, it provided a perfect stage for the Stark. Great stuff today and finished up with a few droplets ( all that is needed ) of the Opuntia Aftershave and what was left of my small bottle of Aventus to close it out.

Set-up:

Have a Very nice Sunday evening

Great set-up Dave, and good read about the Barber school. How long is the course in total? I think I remember you saying it was 9 months?

Whew, good to see the classic wonderful Dave shave and pic. I'm worried about you getting withdrawals with the continued use of a DE. We need a straight razor behind the "break glass in case of emergency" sign for you.

Thanks Josh, they actually give you a year, but if you go full time with not breaks it is usually 9 months

Another Shave Serum user! It looks like I will have to get me some!
Thanks Don it is good stuff

Good stuff Dave!

Proraso Green Tea & Oatmeal Balm
Proraso Green Aftershave Splash
Proraso Azur Lime Cologne.

PRORASOPALOOZA!!
As CBL had mentioned in our owners pit stop, Proraso is fool proof and with a lazy day today, and some other items on my mind this was an easy-peasy way to a great shave, and all Italian software to boot. The CC bowl provided the vessel for lathering and the 6292 ( my very 1st brush ) always delivers, although it is as big as a patio umbrella.

3-passes today and the Kami was in good form for a DSBBS. Finished off with Proraso everything and the Azur Lime was perfect of a 105 degree day.

Set-up:

Have a very nice Monday Gentlemen

Full Trans-Ark home on the Feather Kami? Nice!

Great shave. Enjoy the new week of barber school!

I keep meaning to ask this Dave, but why in the world would you want to shave someone else, using both hands?

I get shaving yourself with both hands, I do that as well. But I can’t imagine switching to a non-dominant hand on someone else.

So why was this an issue for you?
