Great shave Dave!

Good luck with Barber School, though I doubt you will need it!

Sharon packs his lunch for him on a daily basis. Although this is what he uses:

ROFL Your gonna pay for that one!

Thanks Everyone, and I love how you can smack me and compliment at the same time, it reminds me of the Military, you guys are truly FAMILY & Brothers to me from the OLD days and B&B to even more so now. Even My 2nd Son Chad!, LOL The Barber School is much more intense than I thought, and I have a whole new respect for our Tonsorial folks we go to without even thinking about the training the went to. I will graduate with a Master Barber designation per the new state rules, and see where that takes me, LOL

As to any correction on shaving, that has actually been the hardest part of the class, as the State requires that the shave process from a barber standard be done and tested a specific way ONE HANDED!!!!!, LOL so as a joke the instructors have had to tie my right hand to my barber jacket, so I can learn the "Testing Way" for now. This has been very humbling, but good to re-program me for Customer Shaves and passing the shave portion of the test some 11-12 months from now, LOL

I do appreciate your comments more than you know

This entry is for the last week. Since getting back to structured schedule of a school 5 days a week and 9 hours a day, I have felt rushed so from 6-12-2018 to 6-16-2018 it has all been the same shave:

Weber PH Classic, or E-4 Gillette Fatboy
Nacet Blades
Omega Aquae Shave Soap
Omege Aquae Aftershave Splash

All good shaves, just boring.......... but for 6/17/2018..........................................................

Good to hear Dave!

Dang, 5 days a week for 9 hours a day? Must be a heck of a lot of things to learn...or are you just refining the fine art of conversation?

Hope you’re having fun at least!

Ahhhhh, finally a real shave with a real razor. The 1st week of Barber School was a bear, and as I mentioned above, I have a whole new respect for Barbers in general and the training they achieve. It is not just slapping shears and a comb, or clippers to your hair. Learning the actual shave steps for the State Board Masters Exam, has actually proven to be the toughest as you can only use your dominant hand and the shave has to be done in a specific format and 14 specific steps which quadrant the face. So.... I am having to forget things and tie my right hand to get it done. I can go back to a better way after I get my Master Barber's License, bit for now it is the toughest part of the class, and I had no idea how to cut hair, LOL

I have done about 10 cuts with some shaves in there as well, and having fun. Nerve wracking for this old man to be back in school after all these years, with all the structure and all. Good for me..... I think, LOL.

Another reason this week has been tense is, Spaz broke his leg ( He is the Mallard ). We have been dealing in idiot veterinary centers and advice from friends that has Sharon in Devil mode. These are our pets, and yes, as duck can be a pet. But some of our local friends have been making stupid comments on putting him down, and how good it will taste. Those of you that know Sharon can just imagine. Plus we are having a bit of a hard time finding a vet who deals with birds. So Youtube to the rescue. We have the leg splinted ( Thanks Air Force and Firefighter training), since it was a green stick twist break of the Tibio-tarsis. We finally found a vet for possible pinning and surgery if needed for tomorrow, so things should come back to a normal level of chaos in the Casa.

Anyway, a great shave to day with some of my favorite products. 3-passes and DSBBS (g)(8) just perfect. Maybe it was the fact that I have been doing the same stuff every day, but OH BOY was this nice.

Set-up:

I do also want to sincerely apologize for not catching up on your journals and posting comments, I will try to get caught up as I can, as I do feel horrible. As one of the owners here, I feel an obligation to our customers, and need to be here, so please accept my "Ghost Like" attendance as of late. I, like Chris & Chad, appreciate your membership to our little rest stop each day and Thanks for All you Do!!

Hope things will equalize out here soon.

Thanks Chris, It is about 1.5 hours of textbook in the morning and the rest is on the floor cutting hair and shaving

Nice catch up Dave. Sorry about the duck. With one of the pets in pain I would never want to be the one crossing Sharon... That has death wish written all over it! I'm hopeful everything will work out for the best and give Sharon my best.

Don't be too much of a stranger lol

Great shave, read, and picture Dave!

Hope Spaz heals up soon!

Hopefully you will settle into the new routine soon!

My personal feeling on animal ownership is that we are supposed to give them the best life possible. Kudos to you and Sharon for doing the right thing.

I think we all understand that you are extremely busy right now. Don't worry about us, we'll keep the lights on .

No apologies necessary, Dave. You've got a lot on your plate right now!

Livin' the Dream Dave! It's gonna be old hat in a couple few weeks! Pullin for ya bro!

Pets are family no matter the pet. Hope Spaz heals and learns to walk (waddle) better to avoid mishaps in the future. Sounds like you got a tight schedule. Hang in there.

No worries from us, Dave. With the busy schedule you have, there is no shame in keeping your interactions on here to a minimum during the week. Just enjoying the journey that you're on at the moment!

Sorry to hear that the quacker hurt its leg, but glad to hear that he's on the mend.

Wait, you still know how to use a DE? I figured at this point, you be able to get a faster shave with a straight!

I hope Spaz is back to normal soon and doesn't require surgery.

We have to smack you and compliment you at the same time. We aim for a net zero effect. Don't want you to get too big of an ego.

LOL, thanks Gents, and KJ I do indeed still recollect the DE shave, LOL thanks for comments on Spaz
