The Anticipation is finally over, the day had arrived, and a nice early morning shave before Mass. Not much can be further discussed on the CFG GTB other than it is wonderful in all aspects. It took me awhile to warm up to this scent as at 1st, I found it to be way too sweet, but it has evolved for me into a very nice shave experience. I still place Santa Paula in front of it, but still excellent,

Today was about the stunning piece of art by Sorrentino, in the TSC Legacy Brush. I may be a bit bias, but I think the Barzini is the most comfrotable holding brush ever made, and the addition of the inlay and choice of woods is Amazing. Eric is a true Artisan. the fan synthetic is just right and lathers like a beast. No matter how wet you hand is this brush just locks into you hand. The only danger with this brush, especially if you are using a straight, is the focus between the shave, and wanting to just gaze at this work of art, LOL.

The Jos. Elliot was the right choice of the day with all the wood accoutrements today, and performed brilliantly. 3-passes and some cleanup for DSBBS (G) today. A nice healthy splash of the GTB aftershave, some talc and a indecent amount of Vasilli's of the EdP, to bother some of the Parrish today, as we have had a recent influx of "Holier than Though" folks from another Parrish, that need a little braking in, LOL.

Set-up Today:

I said it numerous times before, and will say it one more time. Thanks to all the Legacy members that pitched in to give Chris, Chad and I, this wonderful gift, and to Eric for making it.

Hope you all have a blessed Sunday

Fantastic pic today, Dave. So much GTB was used by The Cadre this morning lol.

The blue accent lines provide some class in that wild west photo.

Catching up. Glad you and Sharon had a great date night. A lot of beautiful razors were used as is the norm in this journal. That Creed scent sounds great. It is a good thing that Tammy doesn't like it when I wear fragrance or I could fall into a deep hole.

Took me a while to get caught up but I did. Top notch stuff as always. I had an idea, came to me after watching a random video on youtube. If Sharon will make a couple dozen smallish bowls, I can fill them with freshly made soap and they could be sold as an artisan one off. Of course, you would have to develop an appropriate scent for the event.

Catching up Dave!

Great reads, shave, and pictures!
Where did you find that Williams Mug?

Glad you and Sharon had a good time at the concert!

Thaks Chris, we are getting her "She shed" set up soon, adding the AC, and hopefully she will be able to start throwing and Kilning by this fall, and that is definitely a possibility on the bowls

CV Heljestrand MK*32
Paladin M&F Chief / Blond Badger
Barrister & Mann Saeryan Shave Soap
Omega Aquae Aftershave Serum
Penhaligon's Savoy Steam Cologne

noon-day shave today. Was really looking forward to the Penhaligon's Savoy Steam, so I waited for the delivery, LOL. It is wonderful stuff. more on that later. Barrister & Mann Saeryan. One of my favorites, but is now unobtanium and I was lucky that Chris H. had gifted me a remaining tub. It is green ( shades of Nuavia Verde) and smooth at the same time ( almost a powdery, linen component ), so it was perfect for today's pairing.

The Queen Heljestrand, was in a good mood today and gave me a stellar shave, rather than deciding to slice me up as she has so many time before. She is a fickle siren for sure. DSBBS after 3-passes and some cleanup, followed by the Aquae Serum, which has a slight citrusy finish, as not to mess with the Pen's.

Savoy steam is perfectly named as out of the bottle is smells like a very fresh stream bath. The Lemon and Eucalyptus mingle to give it steam and fresh wet towel vibe. But on the skin is where is really shines. You get that initial "rub down" smell but very quickly it evolves into a freshly laundered smell with the hint or rosemary, and finally settles into what only can be decribed as a seer sucker suit on a perfect day, or a linen shirt & shorts on a temperature perfect summer day. This is the combination, I think, of the White Cedar and Balsam splashing in the pool with all the other notes. ONe of the "freshest scents" I have encountered.

Typical of many of the Pen's frags it seems to be light in SOS, however I am lucky with Penhaligon's and get good Silage. Truly a wonderful Scent for Spring and Summer, or if you live in the SW, anytime.
