It looks like the work of someone who takes pictures for... say... a barber shop!

Thanks Gents

04.01.2018: SR Shave #889
Pre Shave Lather / Hot Towel & Rinse / 50 laps TM pre / 30 laps Trans Ark Post /
50 laps Westholme & Linen / Lucky Tiger Post Shave Salve / Cold Towel & Rinse

Dorko 1151
Sorrentino Luca Brasi / Envy Silvertip
Lisa's Cedar & Cedar & Saffron Shave Soap
GCBS Black Aftershave Tonic
Penhaligon's Elixir EdP

Hoping to get caught up with everyone's journals soon. Things have been a whirlwind lately. but today was a nice relaxing, long straight shave. It being Easter, it has to be a Cathedral theme, and no better soap and software than the above.

A good 3-pass shave + clean-up and BSBBS, as the 1151 is holding such a nice edge. Speaking of that I have finally settled on a honing regiment that is paying off in spades. So I may be letting go of my Shapton's soon as I think I have found the magical mojo in the Cotcule Dilucot and Trans-Ark finish. Over the last couple of weeks I have honed many of the barbers razors, as well as a few customers, including a secret shopper, whose edges I have admired for a long time, and for him to state I gave him the best edge he has shaved with, including his own makes me proud to think I have maybe finally arrived and honing nirvana.

Finished off with the Elixir and ready ofr a nice quiet Easter with Friends and Family.

Set-up today:

Sharon and I , wish you and yours a very Happy and Blessed Easter

Great read, shave, and picture Dave!

Happy Easter Sharon and you!

Okay so who is this secret shopper?

Congrats on the honing endorsement!

Thanks Craig Happy Easter to you and yours as well. Jan Barthini, she has been collecting, selling, and honing Razors in Tucson for about
40 yrs, I met her at the Steam punk festival a few years ago and had her hone some razors for me when I was still learning. the edges were awesome and I did a few for her this last week

Outstanding for peaking in your honing! Thumbs WAY up! I am intrigued by the trans ark finisher (as if I need another stone! lol)

Great shave Dave. That had always been one of my favorite razors that you own.

I think I may know who I will send my razors to until I actually make a stone purchase.

Great as always Dave. Hope things settle out so you can stop in more often.

SV 70th AS

Well Shattering news. 70th has fallen off the pinnacle today, to #2 on the hit parade. It has been replaced by Opuntia. A solemn day for sure.................... NOT! LOL

Still perfect lather, a perfect brush, and a perfect razor.... wonder how this turned out????

Yep DSSSB (G)( 8)

Not that I would ever......ever......ever.... suggest or contemplate...... but hypothetically, I could shave with SV products and none other for eternity.

Set-up Today

Have a Great day folks and If I have not done so.... A very big thank you for joining Mine, Chad's and Chris's little venture Here

Awesome set-up as usual Dave, but even better shave! Impressive that the Opuntia booted the 70th out of the top spot! Looking forward to the offerings from The Chambers!
