Happy Saturday folks. Although the heat warning is over, we’re still going to be a very nice balmy 104° with about 65% humidity, which is sticky and disgusting.

Hopefully some thunderstorms later today will cool things off just a bit. That being said an icy cool shave was on the agenda for today.
@thecajunblade ’s daiquiri shack was the perfect solution. Icy, citrusy, and wonderfully slick.

That matched with the purple haze and the “Ed” razor, the Gillette, super adjustable black beauty

Finishing off with grapefruit and orange rind on the witch hazel side and tangerine creeper to ice things down even further

Some menthol talc and it should be a nice non-swampy day

A Sunday Stunt Shave!

Yes... That is correct and don't adjust your TV That is a bar soap as a shave soap. Our friends from Canada ( Unilever ) and Dove Men's Care are now marketing this bar soap as a 3 in 1 ( which is actually 4 ) Hand, Face, body and SHAVE BAR! SHAVE BAR??? or we must try! We shall see........

Surprisingly it was pretty good. Much more details in the Video, but for ONCE it is as described. Will it replace traditional shave Soaps?

NEVER!
However, it was not bad, Held together, pretty good Glide and Slickness, and a good fragrance. Was a little drying, and some skin tightness, but overall a good Travel idea and in a pinch.

A BBS shave only but not bad for a Sunday. AV and Wild mint for the finish Going to our favorite Puerto Rican restaurant today. So a good Day in store

i'll be getting some to try as a replacement for the almost finished Omega shave soap i use weekly to shave my head. It looked well up to the performance demanded for that and i slap Dove cream on my head afterwards anyway so any tightness after the shave may not even be noticeable or at least not of Wildenstein proportions.

"Back to Where it Started"

A little nostalgia today as we return for a quick Vector Shave to the Shave Set that started it all for my Barbershop. This idea had been rolling around in my head for a true representation of a SW i.e. Tombstone scent. I never thought it could be a reality for me to have a branded product, but in comes one of my business partners here at the Cadre in @CBLindsay . Chris and I have known each other for years, and his soaps are of course some of , if not the best on the market, so we began the process. More of this is in the video so I wont bore you here.

What I will say is that this set was the Genesis from concept in my head to reality, and the subsequent creations of my Hombre Dos, and the beginnings of the Tombstone Collection with Doc Holiday. I do not think this would have happened, nor would have been as good, were it not for @CBLindsay

I am extremely proud of these creations, and equally proud to have branded this under my name and my shops name..

The Shave:
wonderful, 3 passes, DSBBS, and just wonderful.

Continuing the Timeline Journey of Hombres.

A nice Western/Italian shave today with Hombre Dos and Marshal Badoglio. A bit of Cholla Cactus and Some Litsea Cubebe and Boellis Panama for a finish. Italian Timbleweed Goodness

At the Ranch:
Some RV maintenance, as well as some Mesquite tree timming ( ya too hot ) with the hopes of a few Thunderboomers,

Well, starting my week with an old school shave. Williams, rubber set, Gillette tech, and aqua Velva ice blue.
The only newer item is the Goodfellas cedar and geranium EDT

A very nice BBS shave to start my work week

Another soap that is slick enough to get the job done, but only lathers as well as an ordinary bar of soap is found usually at Dollar Tree. Hard to get because it sells out fast is Zest Brut aftershave scent. Has Glicerin in it. It's a huge bar only $1.28

Was finally able to score some aqua Velva, frost lime, so a nice lime theme shave was on deck

The Paladin PK 47 lathered up Stirling’s West Indies lime with ease. A very nice three pass DSBBS shaved with the Gillette president.

Then of course, copious amounts of the frost lime aftershave. All the goodness of aqua Velva blue but with a wonderful icy lime citrus finish.
