Penhaligon;s Bayolea Aftershave Splash

From the unobatanium archives today. As Penhaligon's continues its decent into the bowels of British Sewage Hell with its discontinuation of classic English Scents, for a more "Who knows" vibe, and going from one of the best Fragrance houses to one of the worst, it is nice to still have some items from the glory days, when Pen's made a full line of shaving gear.
On of these, long since gone, is Bayolea. It was a modern take on a Barbershop scent, and truly wonderful. Also long since gone, the Weber PH Classic. One of the 1st all Stainless Steel razors and at $79.00 one of the most inexpensive ever made. Sadly the company succumbed to Consumer complaints about a "Wavy Blade" issue with the top cap. Although this was a small issue, on a small number of razors, some Forums, and their members were relentless in their comments and complaints, and never gave the chance to the manufacturer to "make things good" which he tried, but people on these forums, and the moderators of those forums, seemed to care less that they were destroying a Artisan. It should be noted that the Manufacturer did not "always" handle the complaints well.
it was sad, as he tried to re-manufacture the top caps, and sell the Handles for a time, but those folks who felt slighted never gave a chance and continued to "Badger" him. So, like so many artisans he went unobtanium, even though the razor, if you got lucky and did not get a wavy top cap, provided a perfect shave, as it did today
Anyway a nice 3-pass shave today, with a Nacet Blade ( of which I have not used in ages ). The Normal cast of accoutrements and a great day

AT THE RANCH: Day 4 of freeze warnings but no precipitation... I mean if you are going to freeze, then at least give us some snow, or rain. Averaging about 28 degrees in the am, has
@AvocadoQueen stressing over plants, and it makes our yard look like it have wandering specters, especially at night when letting the dogs out and having them bark at sheets and freeze cloths. Forecast shows a tiny warm up for a few days then a colder storm with some precip. We hope
Hope everyone is having a Marvelous Monday
