Antique Store Finds

Going antique shopping this weekend. I'm hoping to report back with some finds! Hopefully due to COVID, they won't be wiped out as usual!

Found an 8oz Avon Decanter of Island Lime at the Goodwill for $1.99. Just over 3/4 full.

I found this a week or so ago and decided to share the wealth. There is much more here than I will ever use. I siphoned out 2 ounces and put it in a an empty thoroughly cleaned 2 ounce Avon decanter. It was a Studebaker decanter labeled Wild Country. I picked a TSC member who I have interacted with before, who does not have any Island Lime has been longing for some and the package is on its way to them. They do not know it is coming. The P.O. receipt shows delivery on Friday. Enjoy.

Good on you 👍There's someone I've had in mind that wants it but never found for them. Hope it's the same

Someone's gonna be lucky. That's a scent I've wanted to try too but haven't found in a store yet.....

Still getting caught up on the forums but want to say THANK YOU AGAIN!

Scored big today, found this this 6/8+ Dubl Duck Gold Edge in a case, at a new to me Antique shop here in St. Louis. I’m so used to seeing every shop picked over that I had low expectations. Found this guy for a decent price and then found out it was 50% off, because the booth was closing. THIS MADE IT STUPID CHEAP! It needs a good polish and I need to clean a little surface staining off the gold wash, but I think it will come out perfect!
Also found a once used(maybe never used because the filters were never opened) Aeropress for $10!!!!
Also so cheaply marked Penhaligon’s Vervein(thought the label wasn’t original, is it?) but I passed, I was at our spending limit. One more Also, some Floris’s Traditional English Toilet Water(super flowery for me, but nice).

@Luecke3262 I bet it's original before the re-release in 2009
Eau De Verveine Cologne by Penhaligon's, In 1949, Penhaligon’s came out with a wonderful fragrance called Eau De Verveine. This exceptional cologne was re-released in 2009 so that a new generation could discover its incredible composition. It opens with a rich array of lemon, lime, bergamot, petit grain, clary sage and coriander. Lavender and clove make up the middle part while cedar, vanilla and musk are in the base.

I bet the TV show The Vampire Diaries helped with sales after the re-release, verveine was what non vampire characters took on the show to keep from being "compelled" by vampires..... So when the younger crowd saw something with that in its name if they were fans of the show they would have bought it...Okay that was my useless information for the day... that is all..😜

Our ENTIRE home is FILLED with Mic-Century pieces - furniture, lighting, decor, kitchen ware,... even our clothes!

This find (from last fall) is my antique store shave score:

*EverReady 150 brush - Still not sure what I'm going to do with this. May have it buffed up a bit a re-knotted with a nice silvertip badger knot. Might have to PIF it???
*Pre-Wat Fat Handle Tech - THIS is my prized, "special occasion" razor! It outperforms my identical "minty" Pre-War Tech that I use as a daily driver.

I would put a nice boar knot in there!

I'm a fan of the pre-war Tech, but all of mine shave the same, are the caps different on yours?
