2019 Shave # 17

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Pol Silver SI (6)

Brush: RV Beehive Stirling 26 mm

Soap: Siliski Citrus

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Florida Water

Have had this from the soap sample library for awhile and got to it this morning. I got a nice lather and enjoyable shave although it hits lower than the A&E and DG that have been used. No reaction to the citrus so that's a plus. Scent is strong and nice. It reminds me of the Stirling Orange Chill orange just sans the menthol. After the 2nd pass I questioned whether I needed a pass 3 or just a cleanup as I see many just do 2 passes. I opted to stick with 2 and a cleanup as the skin was feeling dry and got a nice smooth shave mostly BBS where I normally do which is everywhere except the neck. Smeared a little Golds Bond on for moisturizing before working out in the cold again and topped with the Florida Water. LOVE this stuff !! Weighed the Clown puke tub without the lid which is growing nicely. Just Stirling 6 oz tub bottom weighed in at 5.4 ounces. Have a GREAT day Cadre !!!

Glad you liked that one. Are you just wanting to build that soap collection or do you use so much soap there isn’t anough sample for more than one full shave?

I could probably get 3-4 shaves. Just don't care for samples to lather once I get the scent and feel for the soap so building the puck puck to enjoy tub loads and clear the sample shelf.

2019 Shave # 18

Razor: Schick I2 Injector
Blade: Schick (4)

Brush: Razorock 400

Soap: Wickham Soaps Union Square

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber
Aftershave 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber

Today I used Wickham Soaps Union Square (Another Sample from Josh- Thanks Man) It's one that was only available at Pasteurs Pharmacy in NY and name for the Square in NYC. There are no scent notes listed for it I could find. Here is 1 persons take on it " the scent is cologne like, with a vibe that's almost honeyish; with subtle florals and a wood like sandalwood on the base. " I actually can see some of what he gets but to me overall it just smelled like a soap a little better scented than Williams. It is a light scent and pleasant but doesn't jump out as an gotta get a tub. I will say a little of this goes a long way and whips a voluminous amount of lather. I have nice thick creamy lather that gave good slickness. I would say where this soap falls short is residual slickness and post shave which felt a little drying to me. Still I am interested in Wickham and will find some that have a scent in my wheelhouse at some point. Broke out the Injectah today and navigated a nice smooth shave and exfoliation as I need to continue to dial in the angle. I am liking this razor the more I use it but tend to have a steep angle when not paying attention and need to be more conscious to lay the head flat. Decided to go with GTB Aftershave and can't say enough how much I LOVE their AS. Not just the scent. I have to go with the feel from the splash over any others I've used. Scent strength, face feel, nourishing and just the right amount of menthol without being overdone. Killed the bottle of GTB but have 3 backups of that scent and matches for some other CFG soaps too. Out for a longer day today again as I can have Friday off. I need Friday to prep for a training session I will be teaching on plumbing maintenance at a nearby Congregation this Saturday. Although a longer workday I will have down time in the town I work so will be on and off throughout the day. I have 3 packages that should be out for delivery today. One from Josh, one from Jim and one from Eric. Have a great day Cadre !!

Brethren, Pastor KY Dave will be teaching today on plumbing maintenance of the pipes, the heart, the soul, and the body. Preach it brotha!

Funny, there are no paid positions in our Congregations. All that serve in any capacity do so as volunteers from teaching to cleaning. This includes maintenance and cleaning. We teach members that want to learn how to maintain items how to, which keeps things in good repair and eliminates expensive repairs and a burden on members.

Thats great! I’m sure it’s just as handy for their own home life as well as the church. I wish I’d had someone that could show me all those types of maintenance-y things.

I wanna learn about plumbing!! I just recently watched a few videos about flushing the water heater. I don't really think I should be messing with the water heater, but seeing the stuff they got out of it makes me think it could be worth while.

Lock out/tag out of water heater and flushing it is one of the things we cover ? but it is to care for our place of worships not just so people can care for there homes. That's a benefit for those that offer there time to help though.

Perfect, hand your phone to someone to record your presentation. ?

So I'm assuming you support annual flushing. Of the water heater.
