It kind of sucks that knot is shedding so much...but at least it is in a beautiful brush handle!
Thanks Don, after 6 more hairs today I already emailed Eric and asked for his address and how much to paypal him to put a cashmere in it. I love the handle but don't reach for it often because of the knot. I'll love it with a Cashmere in it. I'll never own another Envy shave knot........

After the hassle you have had...I doubt I will either. I had Eric put a Virginia Sheng Finest Badger in my TSC brush. Mostly because he had it laying around. Otherwise I would have had him put in a TGN knot. I have to say that I am very impressed. I'm not going to say that it is the best knot out there...but I am very happy with it. It did shed for the first week I used it...probably lost about 15 hairs total. But no shedding after that...and broke in very nice!

Glad it was a winner for you. Maybe I'll hold off on cashmere and do another 1/4 moon in it. Cadre member anniversary brush if wood handle would look better with a cashmere. Can't wait to see what's in store there.

Razor: Bigelow Parkin OC Travel Razor
Blade: Pol Silver SI (1)

Brush: Stirling 24 mm

Soap: Stirling Orange Chill

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber
Aftershave 2: Lucky Tiger

Joining the Cadre in support of John "The Monkey" who made another trip around the sun as of today. Hope you have a great day today and every day John !! Saw many were using a Slim Adjustable so decided to call an audible and switch from my Slim to this travel razor with a 1921 Patent date. It's the Bigelow and Parkin razor and was used for some advertising although the leather sheath I have doesn't have any advertising logo on it. Either it didn't have any or it wore off but there aren't any signs of it having had anything. It's a nice razor to use once in awhile but not a daily driver. Just a fun one to pull out for special occasions and this seemed to fit the bill. I'll put a pic of some info on the razor along with the SOTD pic and a video that's almost uploaded. Have splendid day Cadre !!

Razor: Schick Eversharp Hydro-Magic
Blade: Schick (1)

Brush: RR BC Plissoft Silvertip

Soap: Paladin Natchez Trace

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber
Aftershave 2: Brut

Ok, I gotta say seeing everyone using the injectors and obviously enjoying them had me buy that NOS Lady Eversharp. After shaving with it I was really disappointed with the quality of th shave and felt like I was missing something. Gave it to the wife that enjoyed it but said she gets a better shave from her Lady Starburst Gillette. I bought 2 vintage models to try a "G" and an "I2" Hydro-magic.

Today, I opted to use the I2 and within the 1st stroke I kew this was different. More blade feel and could tell it was doing it's job. I really don't think I prefer aggressive razors but I NEED one that actually will cut down the whiskers. This thing is a winner for me and now i can say.......Injector.......I get it. To be honest I was prodded to chase a little bit and have some slight rawness but a face that feels like glass. I will be less cavalier next time but know I will have a close effortless shave when I respet that this isn't the same as the previous injector I used. Can't wait to use the "G" to compare it to this and hope it's a winner as well so I can have some variety.

The Paladin soap is a great soap and I LOVE the heavy glass jars they come in. I don't know why they quit making them and may grab another jar or 2 next brush purchase hopefully before they are gone. After seeing Don in a video (This was a treat) doing his "GLUGGS" of splash, I had to do the same. Watch out world, today I'm a BRUT. Have a great day Cadre !!

I have seen that Bigelow Parkin travel razor before. It is definitely a nifty little guy and one that I think is more curious than other razors. Though I don't think it would be getting the call from me a whole lot.

Thanks for the shout out! And yes..."glugs" are the only way to measure out aftershave!

Okay behind from the weekend. But read some nice shaves. I'll watch the video later

The anniversary brush is going to be awesome.

I beg to differ.....
I knew you say something to that effect. I honestly don't seek out aggressive razors and Don't care for a ton of blade feel. I know I use some razors that some people find aggressive, but I can't handle some razors thay others use because they feel too aggressive for me. I guess it's all subjective and wish I had an answer. It's like my single ring that if not careful will chew me up. I keep it because I like it from Gillettes history but Don't use it much because to me it's aggressive. And yet you find it and others similar mild. Maybe it's technique differences. Skin or beard type or other factors. Puzzling.....

Can't Wait!
Neither can I !!! Sketches? Prototype pics? We need something, throw us a scrap man !!!!!!

Nice shave--I thought you'd like the Hydro-Magic better. It's a great shaver.

I have a Type G5 that I haven't tried, but really like my Type E3. Injectors are just give easy, comfortable shaves. Everyone should have one or two (at least)!
