Another awesome shave with the Timeless and the Gillette Spoiler blade. The blade is sharp but buttery smooth which helps in keeping the feisty Bronze .78 OC tame and actually quite manageable. Not an issue with this razor at all so far but, daily shaving with it can be an issue for those with light growth and fairly sensitive skin. Don’t get me wrong as it can be done but, precision and sound technique is paramount. Every other day though, it’s the “Cleaner” and whiskers don’t stand a chance. What do I think? It's heavy, has nice balance and it's a gorgeous looking razor. Not for the timid or inexperienced wet shaver. But, if you like blade feel, a hefty feeling razor in which the weight does the work for you and that holds the blade like a closed bank vault door, this is for you. As for me, it's on my Christmas wish list.....
Today was the last shave with it and it has been cleaned, sterilized and prepped for shipping. I'll pm the next lucky shaver in the Q for mailing info.

Awesome stuff Gus! Glad you enjoyed your test drive with the TBOC...it's definitely a razor that keeps you on your toes. I'm curious, now that you've got a few shaves with it under your belt, how it stacks up against its stainless bretheren? Weights are very similar...

Nice stuff Gus and a solid showing. I can say it's NOTHING like the .68. Much more blade feel and will bite if inattentive. The website compared it to the .95 when released.
You know, that’s a good question. From what I can remember, when I had my Timeless .95 (yes I had one though it was in the SB with scalloped cap version. It now belongs to my brother who asked if he could borrow it for a few shaves and try it out. That was nearly a year and a half ago and I haven’t seen it since. I think he likes it.) it felt lighter than this bad boy. Bronze by nature is a heavier alloy versus Stainless regardless of class whether it be 303, 304, 316, 321, 625, 15-5ph, 17-4ph, 718 and Stainless with Nickel alloy content and a few more that I can’t recall at the moment. To me the Stainless version is a smidge more better balanced from cap to bottom of the handle. But, that extra weight on the Bronze really lets you exploit that extra weight to ones advantage. At least to me it did.... And thanks again for letting us try this beautiful behemoth....
Thanks Brother.... You know, I will say that to me, it felt very close to the SB .95 in efficiency and blade feel but, that SB is one smooth and efficient operator. The Bronze feels a bit more aggressive and the blade reveal is just a tad bit more pronounced. Still, I loved the shave the Bronzy gave. Again, sound technique and let the weight do all the work for you. A solid performer no doubt about it.......
Is a more shallow angle the preferred angle on this razor?
Just curious as I contemplate over my turn using it. I'm usually prefer a more "mild to mid-aggressive" feel in terms of harshness or roughness or uncomfortableness of feel. I like razors that efficient and yet very smooth & forgiving.
So with the reviews here, I already know this one is very efficient, but not very forgiving & requires utmost concentration. Having said that, I wonder if the shallower angle sort of tames it or makes it more smooth?

I preferred a more shallow shaving angle with the Bronzie. So that we’re on the same page, shallow is more cap, steep more of the guard. I tried both and the shallow worked better for me because it felt just a tiny bit smoother yet it gave me the blade feel I like. With the guard in play it felt more like a scraping action than a clear cutting action if that makes sense. Either way, you’re going to get a very efficient shave..... Happy shaves amigo.
This right here! Riding the cap (shallower angle) will offer you a bit more leeway on technique than using the guard. With that being said, there's little room for error regardless of angle of attack you use; not that it's more apt to cut you than other razors, but the comfort level might not quite be there post-shave.

I'm not going to post a Black Friday Shopping/Shave video! Not unless the EMTs are standing by!
I did shave with the Timeless for the first time this morning. The family & grandkids left this morning so I could have the time to focus & enjoy the shave. Prepped with a 10 minute hot shower. Used Mikes Orange/Cedarwood/Black Pepper soap. After hearing about this razor, I chose not to use a new blade, instead, I loaded my GSB that has about 8 shaves on it already.
First impressions - the razor is much heavier than the techs & Aristocrat Jr. I've been using. It's a beautiful razor, a modern design with the thicker handle & the machined looking head. But a gorgeous design nonetheless. I knew going in I wanted to be aware of my angle at all times, or I might be using a whole styptic pencil to repair the damage. The weight in my hand is not an issue, it's a well-balanced razor that feels comfortable in my hand. Placing the razor on my face I slowly rotated the head to get a shallow blade angle, then let the weight of the razor glide over my cheeks. No pressure is needed as this razor easily cut thru 2 days growth. There is a noticeable blade feel as it removes the hair. I'm very aware this could bite me if I'm not careful. Around the chin, it wasn't as difficult as I expected. At the end of the first pass, no nicks or weepers & a very close shave. Lather up for second & third passes with same results. If you're careful, you are able to not end up in the ER, but instead end up with a close comfortable shave. I look forward to a second shave to see if my results are the same. There is a lot of blade feel with the razor, more than I care for as a daily driver. But could I get used to it? Perhaps. I wonder what it will feel like after using it for 2 successive shaves, to get a better feel if I could consider using it daily.

Second shave today, using the GSB again. I prepped the same way, hot shower. This time I used CBL Aqua Oud, a nice soap that I received a sample of when I ordered the Club CBL.
Again, I approached the shave carefully being mindful of needing to keep a proper angle as I go around the curvature of my cheeks, chin, jawline, & neck. It is a very good razor that delivers an exceptionally efficient shave. There is no blade chatter as the blade is clamped securely. The blade feel is prominent as I shave, as is the thought I must always be aware of my shaving technique when I use this razor. Some razors you can mindlessly shave, not this one. It is a very close shave, & to some that may cause them to choose not to try it. But if you are able to find the angle & keep it, you'll be rewarded. This razor delivers a hot shave, no question about it. You feel it & you know it once you've shaved. My face, however, was not extra sensitive or raw after 2 days of back-to-back use. I finished up the shave with sting-free alum, witch hazel, & AS splash. Good shave!
The Timeless is a very effective tool that does what it's designed to do very well. I enjoy this razor, but will not be buying one. I will clean it & package it up tonight or tomorrow morning, & send it on its way. @PJO, I'm sending you a PM asking for your mailing address.
