Pass Around - Timeless Bronze Open Comb - Pass Around

Got this in the mail on Saturday and planned on shaving with it yesterday evening but, plans change so left it for this morning.
First, I want to thank Dave for organizing this pass around and more importantly Josh for giving up this beauty for the rest of us to try out.

Timeless Bronze .78 OC (on loan) & Voshkod Teflon #1
Graydog 26mm Badger
Doppelgänger Sauvage CK6 soap
Humphreys Alcoholado Maravilla
Doppelgänger Sauvage a/s splash

Took a quick break from the Vector to try out the Timeless Bronze OC. Woo-Wee! Now that, was a feisty shave! Very, very good blade feel that took me a full pass to find a good angle and get a semi-smooth feel while retaining great efficiency and blade feel. 2 passes and a quick touch up, Bon Voyage. An extremely close shave that you can’t get lazy on. Not Ikon Tech like but, close enough. Lazy shavers need not apply. Have a great day and awesome shaves Gents...

It's very interesting to read what people think of this. But since everyone is talking about there being a lot of blade feel...I think I'm going to abdicate my position in this pass around...

Nice right ups Gus and Dave.

This razor always intrigued me as a work of art. DO you guys consider it in line with the DART or R41( I know not as efficent as R41)?

\n\nI will have my second shave with it later this evening. And I will hone in on it a bit better. But, in reference to how it feels compared to the Dart & R41? It\'s in the ballpark with these two but, still distinct. It\'s not close to the original R41 prior to 2011 as that razor maintains legendary status as one of the best efficient razors ever while still actually retaining some smoothness and comfort. Post 2013 R41 is not in the same league as the Dart, Timeless Bronze .78 OC, and the 2011 R41. \n\nThe Timeless is actually quite efficent and semi-smooth but, it has a very, very small window of finding and keeping it in the sweet spot as compared to the other 3 that I\'ve mentioned. More evaluations are needed but, that\'s it in a nutshell...

Interesting Gus.. You solved alot of issues for me. I traded my Dart for a Karve with three plates. Now you make me want it back. Though I love the beauty of this bronze timeless. And I was also thinking of getting a R41 but unless I have the pre2011 it is not what I am looking for .. again the dart might be the answer.

Bwahahahaha...............Hey wait, I don't see your name on the list ???
I have the KY Dave disease. I tend to buy anything I try and like. And I have enough newish razors I won't be bored for a while.

Dave, could you bump me down to the end of the list? I'm heading out of town this weekend and will be gone for about two weeks. Thanks.

Hectic week. Work, work and more work. Yesterday evenings Shave was just plain killer. This razor is extremely efficient but, once you get the angle that you feel comfortable with, it gets it done amazingly well but, you still have to pay attention that's for sure. The OC Bronze is a player in the efficiency category. Have a great day and wonderful shaves Gents...
