"Peet's Coffee* was established first in 1966, while Starbucks was founded later in 1971. Peet's played a significant role in influencing the founders of Starbucks by teaching them about coffee."My Bride and I have tried a lot of "grocery store" coffees over the years, but we keep coming back to Peet's Major Dickason's. We find the freshest beans at Costco. We drank medium roasts for years, but we now prefer a smooth-tasting dark roast (no cream or sugar). Peet's fits the bill for a good tasting cup. We drink at least a pot every morning. We don't claim to be coffee connoisseurs, so I can't really say much more. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
I've been considering an Aeropress for my afternoon cup. I would appreciate any tips or suggestions on grind size, brewing methods, etc. Thanks.
And Peet's makes a far better cup of coffee!
*Alfred Peet (pronounced closer to "pay-t") was a Dutch immigrant.
