Shave # 359 ( 412 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline (12)
Brush: Cadre Member Brush
Soap: A&E Revolution
Post: Lucky Tiger Vanishing cream
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: A&E Revolution
Fragrance: Parfums De Marly Layton

Well @Bill in Oneida called me out and said I was wearing my Rockwell razor out lately. Since the 15th shave results indicated it was time to replace that blade I am moving on to wearing out the Vector now 🤪 We'll see how many shaves this blade will go. Today was shave 12 and it was sublime still with amazing results. I will see how long the whiskers stay at bay. My absolutely favorite scent from A&E is my 1st from them. Revolution and it appears they are out of production last I looked. I will need to check again and get a backup when/if I see them available again. Never heard back from the company about a shipping label to send back the Lucky Tiger so I gave it a try today. Applied after the shave and rinsing my face. Nice cool feeling from the menthol with a minty scent. It seemed to cool and refresh. Then the typical post shave of Humphrey's and Matching Revolution Splash. I was stacking post shave like @GearNoir 😜 Onto the Fragrance of the day:

Parfums De Marly Layton

This is listed as a unisex scent and this is what 1 site says about it:

Bergamot leads with its tangy passion, while lavender and geranium blend into a fresh note, chic and chivalrous all at once.
The intensity rises from mesmerizing amber, enhanced by the natural elegance of pink pepper.
Distinguished and addictive, its character carried by vanilla and precious woods grows more powerful with an intriguing note—a flavorful and fascinating hint of caramelized coffee.

I had a little trouble with the atomizer shooting a stream instead of a spray a few times which didn't help my aim. It was a light and hard to detect citrus to begin which lead me to pump more streams/sprays of this baby trying to ensure I could be "That Guy" today. As it dried down the scent was more detectable and I got the amber/vanilla and woods more pronounced. This is a truly amazing scent on dry down. I'm not sure of projection as I have to hold my forearm to my nose to get the scent to a level I like but man is it heavenly. A definite buy if it was at a lower price to me. I've been on a binge of late with pricey (to me) ones and need to ratchet back the fragrance buys and just enjoy the ones I have and still have coming in this week. Another amazing scent from @GlazedBoker which leads me to believe it must be nice working near this guy just to be able to get wiffs of the scents he wears....................okay, getting a little creepy and that isn't my intent. I think you get the idea. Thanks again Amigo

Yesterdays assignment and visit was great as I got to see friends I haven't seen in quite some time. I was in LaFollette, TN where I had 1st moved down to from PA in 1986 when I married my bride. Heading to work today and hope the Cadre has an outstanding day !!

Shave # 360 ( 413 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline (13)
Brush: Yaqi Moka Synthetic
Soap: Wholly Kaw La Fougere Partfaite
Post: Lucky Tiger Vanishing cream
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Vintage Brut
Fragrance: Parfums De Marly Darley

Well pushing blades has it's downfalls. Got an amazingly close shave with number 13 on the Proline but plenty of weepers round my mouth area indicating it's roughness now and time to replace. Star of the show is my newly acquired from @Spider Wholly Kaw La Fougere Partfaite which is a good iteration of Brut Cologne. Glad to have this to use with my Brut stash. I've enjoyed the use of the LT Vanishing Cream the past 2 days and feel it does help sooth and moisturize the skin. Makes me think of @BarberDave when I use it and hope he is doing well. Topped things off with the Parfums De Marly Darley. Here's a Descriptions of the Scent:

Darley Perfume by Parfums De Marly, When attention begins to wane, kick it into high gear with Darley, a scintillating 2009 scent from Parfums de Marly. The multidimensional fabrication starts with a powerful spark of bergamot whipped brightly with Amalfi Lemon and fresh, crisp mint. The center awakens with spiked cinnamon soothed by an enchanting floral chorus of lavender, African Orange Flower and the supreme softness of rose. Lower on the scale, the smoky beat of guaiac wood is pounded out by bittersweet tonka bean on a drum of sandalwood and amber. Complex yet wholly elemental, the mesmeric effect continues to transfix and attract long into the night.

I get a well blended floral grounded and kept from being overly flowery by the wood and amber notes. Nice stuff but my preference would definitely be the Layton over this one.

Pushed work hard yesterday and so I get today and tomorrow off to get things done around the house and prepare for some teaching at tonight's services. For those new to the cadre reading this, I don't do the holidays as my family and I have chosen to honor Christ differently so these are just another day for us, but some time off work is nice. If you sent Christmas cards to me please don't see me as rude for not responding. Have a great day Cadre !!

I hope you have a couple great days off Dave. If anyone needs a break it's definitely you. Relax some, drink some coffee, and have a muffin!

Thanks Don....................I'm muffinless at the moment but a friend dropped off some Bourbon cake (They were out of Rum for their Rum Cake 😂) I'm grabbing a piece of that now on your recommendation. Have a good day today and enjoy your time off with family !!
