Shave # 323 ( 376 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline (1)
Brush: Paladin 26mm Vesuvius Chief
Soap: @Mystic Water Bergamot,Cedarwood & Juniper
Post: @LNHC Post Shave Elixir
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Stirling Ramblin Man
Fragrance: Stirling Ramblin Man EdT

Nice early shave and went with another shave stick for the final day of this theme week. No muss, no fuss results. This soap was one were I could distinguish at different times all 3 scents which is unusual for me. Nicely crafted. Used the Elixir of Lisa's to help with the dry skin this time of year. I need a backup of this as it is the "ONE" for me in this department. The Vector was and always is a joy to use. Can't believe how many different SE's I tried before finding the "ONE" that clicked for me. Feeling okay and smelling great. I'll take that, Have a Splendid Day Cadre !!

@LNHC Post Shave Elixir really is outstanding. I've given away two bottles as part of shaving kits designed to draw people into the traditional wet shaving fold, and that aftershave has gotten the most compliments out of everything else in the kit. Your post reminded me that it's time to reorder, so thanks!

Happy to help 😜

Does anyone ever put boar nots in beautiful brush handles like yours, Dave? I usually see badger and some synths. I don't care for the synths, and I find badger brushes finicky. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Nice setup today Dave! Now to put all those “ONE”s together for a shave!
What’s the knot in this one? Any particular code?

I’ll admit I’ve never seen a boar-ed Paladin before...you could become the first!

Larry, you raise an interesting question. Paladin's only come with Badger but I'm not opposed to putting a boar in if I had to replace one. Just don't see that happening in my lifetime with there quality. Customs they will put whatever you want in them. Paladin doesn't do custom orders though, but others do. I prefer synthetics and Badger with an occasional boar for variety.

A the "ONES" shave is a good idea to do. As far as knot codes, I'm not one to know the ones to seek verses others. I do especially like the feel of this one which surprised me that I even noted the difference, but I did. Here's the card with the code

Shave # 324 ( 377 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline (2)
Brush: Stirling Synthetic
Soap: @CBLSoap.com Tonsorial Smokey Mountain Cedar
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Penhaligon's AS Balm Sartorial
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Sartorial

So starting off @CBLSoap.com Theme Week with Tonsorial Smokey Mountain Cedar. Off the tub I get about a 5 out of 10 scent strength that is very nice. At first I thought there was a slight smokiness to it but now after lathering and the strength jumps to a 6 - 6.5 there is a strong peppery scent. Now when smelling the tub I get the pepper. I'm not great with scents but this is what I get. Lather was easy peasy to whip up in short order. Maybe a 10 second load with the damp brush. I wet the brush a tad more to load wetter and started lathering on the face adding water to the brush and it built to an awesome rich creamy lather. Slickness isn't what the Premium line provides but there is plenty of slickness to do the job with ease. After the 3 pass shave I still had soap in the brush and decided to push the lather and continued to lather on my face and add water to see if it would break and what it would take. I continued to build an amazing lather that seemed to get slicker still with a nice sheen to it. I kept going but never did break the soap. Can you? No doubt eventually you will but it's clear to me that while it isn't needed, this soap has a wide water band and can take a ton of water even though it isn't needed. I LOVE the new tonsorial base. Not as soft a post face feel as the premium line but a nice fresh clean and soft feeling ready for post shave witch hazel and splash. Perfect and looking forward to trying more scents as he releases them (6 as of this Posting in Tonsorial and many more in the Premium base are available)

Topped things off with Penhaligon's Sartorial which played well with the Smokey Mountain Cedar scent.

I'm in agreement. I like the tonsorial base better because of the lathering and I don't nee post shave anything because I'll slather on all my stuff anyway.
