Words of wisd..... Yeah right.... We all know better than that!

Trying to get caught up with everything. Haven't got to comment a whole lot, but I did do a lot of reading. And it made my brain hurt.... :p

Shave front has been pretty normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. Skip a day, shave a few, skip a couple more.... Real consistent ya know... :ROFLMAO:

Work has been busy. Got to go in and work on the augers in the silo.

Now I'm working on 4 of these. The material is al-bronze, an aluminum and bronze alloy that is more wear resistant. Works out to around $600 a piece for material alone, so no pressure there.....

So let's try making an update on a shaving site that actually contains some shaving stuff. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Was a really good shave with this one. The razor was a gift and has actual ivory scales. The Sorrentino brush (also a gift from an awesome member here) performed beautifully as expected. And the CBL soap... Is there anything else to say? The chocolate scent in this stuff is absolutely amazing as is the performance.

Again with the CBL soap. Great scent and absolute top tier performance. My little Eveready butterscotch that has a Rudy installed Shavemac knot performed great.
The injector though leaves me wondering and questioning... I'm wondering what took me so long to get one and questioning why I didn't pick one up sooner!!
Smooth as a Tech but super efficient. Seems to have a small angle window that is going to take a little getting used to, but it's worth the learning curve for sure!!

Congratulations Shawn! Now train the babe in smithing and wet shaving! Happy for you and your family!

Things have been pretty busy so I haven't been on much. I've actually been skipping some shaves too. At least the machines I work with don't care if I look like a bum. :ROFLMAO:

Did get a few in though.
Mystic vanilla sandalwood, brush guy brush, clone razor with a feather blade.
Mystic always performs great, as does this brush. The feather blade was a little harsh, but I've been speed shaving and am always guilty of pushing the razor anyhow. No real lasting irritation, but did end up with a super smooth BBS.

This one was inspired a bit. Despite not posting much, I have been checking in and reading when I can. Read some discussions on the fat and decided to pull it out again. Stuff has a great scent and very nice yet unique post shave feel. Not as slick as some of the artisan soaps I have, but great performer all around. Another use of the feather in the clone. Again with the scraping from not paying attention to my angle and pressure, but great shave in the end.

Work has been really busy. Had the mill set up, the lathe running, machines to fix, and my own screw ups to fix.....

There are feed chains on the decks for the green line at the other part of the plant. Full bundles of lumber get put on them to get trimmed and graded before going to the kiln for drying. The bushings in the sprockets are bad, so I have been boring them out on the lathe and making new bushings for them.
These particular ones needed to be bored oversize and a new sleeve put in so be able to bore that sleeve to a standard size in case we decide to switch back from the nylon we are trying to standard bronze bushings. This particular sprocket broke on me when I was pressing the sleeve into it.

So I had to get the plasma cutter out, set it to gouge out the break so I had a good place to weld, weld using a cast alloy rod since it is made of cast iron, then grind it down so the chain would ride in it again. All without breaking it more because cast iron is really finicky to weld.

Then I'm in the process of making new pins for them also. that is all done on the milling machine. Grooves to cut, grease holes to drill, and recesses to mill in.

Home front is busy. Going to do my best to get up and help @Blade-meister with his cabin at the end of the month.
Then going to try to get up and see @Cvargo for dinner or a beer or something the beginning of next month.
Plus trying to get things around to dig out a stump and re-do my driveway, new carpet in the living and dining rooms, and trying to get shop work done.... I need a month of 30 hour days I think....
