Absolutely better. Being too broke to buy shave gear is one thing, and I can live with that. Being afraid of losing your home and wondering if you can buy groceries is a level of broke I really don't want to ever see again.
I'd much rather be busy with my bills paid than to have all the time in the world but be stressed and bordering homeless. Done both and much happier this way. :LOL:

Really great stuff! Glad you are getting to see a few more of the Cadre. Sorry I wasn't able to get to see you this trip...too much drama in the family for me to handle. But believe me...there will be other trips. I will make sure I make it a point to see you next time.

There's a scene in Lord of the Rings at Helm's Deep where the elves arrive and Aragorn tells Haldir "You are most welcome!" That's how I feel about hearing that you'll try to make the trip. You've forgotten more about carpentry than I probably know.

Then there’s that one darn human old guy that can’t hold his arrow and sets the whole battle off!

Yup, compliment for sure. We are talking about a guy that climbs into machines, grinds new this and that and owns a welder. I'm certain he's forgotten more than I know about a wide variety of carpentry subjects. Given Shawn and I are the same age, I'd be insulting myself if I called him old :LOL:

I will say this though, the elf warrior Haldir in the video clip I inserted in my previous has longer hair than Shawn does:p
 
So finally getting around to making an update. I got to babysit friday, so I just pretty much watched cartoons with the little one all night.

I've been on a straight kick the last few shaves.

Finally got some much overdue and needed time in the forge today. Got a billet forge welded for an order and a little cleanup done on some razors that have been sitting here forever. They have a couple issues with the grinds though, so I'm not sure what I can do with them yet. One I think will only be cosmetic, the other I believe is going to affect honing though. That one may take some serious creativity to save since it has already been quenched.

Great highlight of the day though, is I got to talk to @Smattayu for about an hour on the phone. I think the poor guy is busier than I am. Definitely with a home repair that hopefully got finished up.

Some great set ups, and the Fili is beautiful. I probably finished up about the time you posted your SOTD, and man did it feel good to get that done lol.
