What's Your New Brush?

I remember now. I got nothing on it. Just a nice knot and a no frills handle.
Knot is really more important than the handle anyway or so i think. I did touch up a couple of spots with clear polish to seal what looked like tiny splits in the handle in 2 spots though. You can sort of see one in the pic...

I got two DS Cosmetics brushes in. They're not the highest quality by any stretch, but I like them. The blue/green one didn't have any contrast at the bottom, so I used a little silver Rub n Buff to fill in the lettering. I also cleaned up some of the scratches. "Made in China," finished in Texas.

I really like some sort of variation of that style handle. My favorite of all I've tried so far.

It's not new any more, but as I haven't been around the forum much, I figure I can sneak these in!
My faves are two Synbads from AP Shave Co, one 30mm and one 26mm. Just love the feel of those.
Last December, a Yaqi Mysterious Space tuxedo joined the brush drawer.
And two from when I started in late 2015 or early 2016 are the Maggard purple swirl and a RazoRock BC Silvertip.
As you may note, all are synthetics. I found a boar to be a little too exfoliating for me, but it is broken in now, I think. It is a big Omega Pro, also purchased in Nov of 2015. I had a cheap badger that was great, but I dabbled in a too scented soap and could not get rid of the smell. Other badgers seemed to disagree with my face/rosacea, so synthetics took over the shave drawer.

Yes, I tried several different knots from Yaqi, and that tuxedo is nice and soft, yet has the right amount of backbone for my mug! But that 30mm SynBad is like a Wall of Softness, as one guy put it!
