back when I started working in pharmacy and still saw hand written prescriptions with all the special codes and abbreviations, OS stands for “ocular sinister” or “left eye”

Dad went to public school so no nuns.. After his athletic abilities were discovered they didn't care anymore which hand he used so long as whichever he used he was able to throw the ball. (He was a quarterback.).
