Lat night I rotisserized (yeah...I know, it's not a real word) a chicken on the spit and then roasted some golden beets in the oven. The chicken came out a little dark in the skin because I let my flame get to hot in the beginning. But it was still yummy! I am not a huge beet person, but man these golden beets are delicious. Call me crazy...but they have almost a corn on the cob taste!

Stuck another chicken on the spit. It's one of the few things that the wife can eat right now. So I am happy to oblige. I am getting good at trussing a chicken too! I didn't blacken this one either!

I can only stomach them in dried, sweetened chip form or when cooked with bacon.
Why would you willingly add dirt to bacon?
Everytime I've tried beets it tastes like I grabbed a handful of dirt and started munching

I would think that beets and bacon has got to taste better than beets all by themselves.
