What is New to You...... SPEAKEASY EDITION

I did good today. Didn’t get a single thing that wasn’t a pre-purchase. The GlenAllachie is my monthly single malt club. The Caol Ila a Christmas gift for my dad. And the Mezcal Pechuga tasting box sounded like an adventure. I did run across more Laphroaig Triple Wood. That was hard not to get another back-up. But I figure there will always be more stuff I enjoy getting released.

This is probably a silly and naive question, but I will ask anyway: Is there a difference in taste between Mezcal and Tequila? I bought a few tequilas recently, primarily Anejos and Extra Anejos and am enjoying them. I am curious as to how they differ from Mezcal. If you know?

Yes, traditional Mezcals are pretty smoky and peppery.
