I didn’t have time to put anything on until late today, went with a wonderful fresh walk down ancient Roman roads. Victrix is one of my top favorites, Laurel trees in a sofas breeze. But then I checked my email, and my favorite grey market had an extra good deal on Heeley with only one or tow bottles left of the ones I was interested in, so I ran to my samples and doused Zeste de Gingembre. Opens like a fresh can of ginger ale, and slowly morphs into an excellent dihydromyrcenol based shaving foam. It’s very close to Tom Ford Fougere Platine in the dry down, but more wearable. A great warm weather fougere.

Parle Moi de Parfum Wake Up World
Yesterday's serendipitous discovery of Victrix + Zeste de Gingembre led me to want some more dihydromyrcenol-centric frags. I don't like to name aroma chemicals as a rule, but this one is so distinctive to me that I just think of it like another note, the shaving cream note. Even Parle Moi de Parfum lists it as a note, so I guess it's ok.
Wake Up World is supposedly Michel Almairac's recreation of his work, Paloma Picaso Minotaur. I wouldn't know about that, and tbh this feels very contemporary to me. Apple, and a very sharp lavender, the shave cream element is there, but very toned down, and the sharpness very much amplified. Easy wearing, and very versatile, it can dress up or down according to your mood. One of the best from the house.

Pierre Guillaume Yuzu ab Irato
Lovely lemon line yuzu with masculine hay touches in the dry down.
It's been lemon season the last week or so for me, and lovely to see couple of my favorites making appearances up above. Yuzu ab Irato is like a perfume version of that wonderful Alvarez Gomez.
I wish I'd gotten the Caron Yuzu when you could find it.
