Heely / Jogging Cologne Officinale
Superb old school herbal fougere. This is a colab with the Jogging shop in Marseille. Opens with the classic herbal combo of basil, lavender, rosemary, and sage. It adds a somewhat animailic raw soap note, which I personally love, it gives the fragrance a bit of weight, and excellent longevity, without loosing the herbal quality. But I some find it a bit off-putting, getting a cat-pee feeling from it. I don't get that at all, just the sort of buzzy aromatic feeling that the lye in soap can give. I find I actually like the modern versions of these kinds of scents more than the vintage I have. The top is still in tact, and there's a balance between light and heavy.
This is a bit more 'everyday' for me, and my other favorite, that just needs to be out there is Maria Candida Gentile's Gentile, which subs leather for the soap and has a very fancy date night vibe for me.

Well I finally found the lemon candy scent. Opens like a high end Myrsol Agua de Limon, I've been looking all over for such an opening. Of course that's never going to last but thanks to good formulation, the sense of it remains, though grass and frankincense come in for most of the duration. I don't get church vibes here though, that lemon keeps its feet cheerfully planted on this side of the astral plane.
Glad I decide to go for this, I found Klubwasser in Stockholm last year, and it was one of the standout fragrances of the year for me, so I thought another from the house would be in order. I don't know about you guys but tend to stick with houses if I've found a winner from them, especially if it's something distinctive.
