John Player Special - Special Touch for Men
A bit of a back story on this. I bought it from a Basenotes friend last spring, but it was sent to me just as Europe started to crack down hard on air shipments containing alcohol. It was returned to him, and we agreed that that next time I was 'on the continent' he'd send it to where I was staying. So finally I got the shipment while we were in Portugal, and even more finally was able to unwrap it all when we got back this weekend. It had four great vintage fragrances, including this one.
JPS is the blackest of black barbershop laced patchouli. I'd never heard of it, but my friend gave it a high recco, and he was right, this stuff is amazing. I might even get a back up if I can.

During college a friend and i worked weekends in an overnight garage/gas station and it sold cigarettes. One evening an Indian man came in and he was the most cross-eyed guy i've ever seen in my life. He simultaneously looked a foot to the left of my left ear and two feet over my head and asked for '20 JSP please.'
We fell about laughing.

In So Cal we smoked other stuff behind the gym locker room but yeah JPS is a total blast from the past, and smells great too.JPS.....that reminds me. When in high school me and my delinquent mates used to hide behind the woodwork building and smoke JPS ciggies. Ahhh the memories.
