What Fragrance Did You Use Today?

Florida Water is an interesting concoction.. I use it as an aftershave as well as a cologne, but its uses are many, especially in Latin cultures (I'm also part Puerto Rican and can trace my roots back to the native Taino tribes that flourished there) where it's used for a multitude of practical and spiritual practices.

It has a floral citrus / spicy scent with notes of lemon, bergamot, neroli, orange blossom and clove. Not very long-lasting nor having much in the way of sillage and projection, it tends to wear close to the skin. However, having applied it over six hours ago, I can still smell it. But I normally spray it directly on my shirt which helps it last longer. Great anytime of year, but really shines in the hotter months.

It's cultural uses include cleansing rituals, purification, ritual offerings, etc. It's rumored that if you spray it onto your pillow, it causes vivid and intense dreams.

Hope this helps.
Thank you for helping me better understand the fragrance and get to know you a bit. I'm grateful that you took time for an expansive response. Fantastic on all accounts.

Love the driving cap in your profile photo. Looks very dapper on you. I'm a hat man, also. 3 or 4 fedoras of varying descriptions, a summer straw, and two driving hays.
Thanks!

I have a few hats I wear, mostly for practical purposes. "Scally" caps and fedoras in winter to keep my head warm (rapidly thinning hair) and a Panama hat in the summer to keep out most of the sun. "Balding man - exposed head - sunburn" phenomena is a real thing here. 😄

Lorenzo Villoresi - Patchouly

An ultimate masculine patchouly. There's no doubt it's patchouly, but the the woody side of it is brought out, it has a very strong leafy feeling, like dry leaves in fall, it could even almost pass as a tobacco. But then there's also just enough of a shaving cream vibe back there to tie it together as a masculine monster. Great stuff.
