I believe this is a 1946 Gillette Ranger Tech (the 1946-47 Gillette Super Speed looks very similar - but the seller stated there is no notch - and the pictures seem to bear this out)…

fine superspeed/ranger tech.here is another example which was called a 'crat jr.
unnotched but note the flat ring at the top collar/handle joint.

Found this cool wood burl bowl and brush on the auction site. Made a good offer and got them both! Not sure which flavor of pre-reformation Crabtree and Evelyn is in the bowl, but it will lather well regardless.
