So my other hobby that I have stuck my toe in the water is lossless and HD audio. I haven’t gone too extreme with the equipment- and I’m going to stick with the headphone side…but this little number is very exciting. I had the predecessor and it was amazing what sound I was missing when sitting in a quiet room and pairing my phone with this puppy. Really looking forward to taking this for a spin (Aidan isn’t cooperating right now 😂- his jams over the loud speakers takes precedence of course !!

Some great scores this week. I had an unexpected box show up from @novicewetshaver. It contained a hand written note and a new PAA AA Bay Rum set. Totally awesome! Thank you so much Tom!

I also ordered a DR Harris refill puck to revisit. When I first joined the Cadre, @CBLindsay had a PIF for a shavette. When he sent it, he included a tube of DR Harris Arlington and Windsor. I really liked the scent and wanted to circle back. Ironically it was cheaper to order from Connaught and have it shipped, than order from a US vendor.

I also scored a pipe tool from the bay. New and made in the Czech Republic. Pipe hasn’t made it here yet, but hopefully soon. Can’t wait to try that.

Windsor is a fantastic scent. That soap lasts FOREVER, the only DR HARRIS soap I even came close to finishing was the Marlboroug.

Many may not know that Sharon(@AvocadoQueen ) is quite the artist, and does unique painting and pourings, on all types of mediums including Jewelry . She surprised me with this today as an early X-mas present. Rumor has it that maybe sometime in 2022 she may get a hobbyist badge and offer this type of stuff to the cadre. includng on Shave gear, Bowls, Etc... Stay tuned

Got some frags I missed before.

For most of my adult life, I used 1 or 2 readily available supermarket bath soaps until they improved them. I’m still looking for that “1” special soap, but am finding a lot to like with Stirling. They usually get a nice order from me every once in a while.

This is my first try with their coffees.

Since Thayers seems to be ignoring the Cadre YouTube sensations I decided I can use Stirling Witch Hazel till they come around to our way of thinking.

I sent an email to Thayers also regarding our Cadre YouTube "influencers" and how shameful it was of Thayers to Not send them at least a few stickers or shirts or something since they bring so much free publicity to Thayers and of course have not heard anything back yet.. I might have to try something else if I don't get a reply.. I have a few aces up my sleeve that usually work if I have to. I wanted to try the general approach first.... I guess we shall see !!

I was looking at these (currently they’re sold out - but that is ok, I’m going to sell a couple of razors first if I go that route). How do you like this? How does it shave? I don’t like a lot of blade feel - was wondering what blade gap you got.
love the Blutt. It's beautifully machined. I chose the 1.20 blade gap, which is probably more efficient than I need, but very smooth. I've been told the .99 gap has less intrusive blade feel.

ahh the memories....... The Cure-all from everything from the common cold t.o cancer Fond times, as apparently Puerto Rican moms, and probably others, went through special training to learn to apply at least a 1/4 inch on your chest, back, throat, and under your nose, and in your nostrils. Ready for a totally encapsulating night with a menthol bomb, not to mention the pajamas sticking to you all night. But it did work, and small bottle never ran out, no matter how much was used. I think I still have the bottle from 1965, LOL

Thanks for the memories Ed............... I had thought I repressed them enough to never come back...... THANKS, LOL

Your welcome.
My Memories of Vicks are of my
Great Grandmother.
Every Night At 7:00 PM she would Bath in Vicks Vapo rub and had to give us all kisses good night. Then go into her Room to Watch He Haw before bed. The Whole House Smelled likes Vicks all Night long. Bless her Heart she lived to be 96.
