John said they were the Aluminum and Brass versions, just plated. The Aluminum does feel pretty hefty though. Maybe it’s just the handle?
 
Ahhh...waht I was thinking was the SS is a plated aluminum head with an aftermarket handle, likely SS.
 
Queen Charlotte closed 2 years ago and Bruce surprised me with a puck it this holiday season. Thank you Bruce. It may be just soft enough to make a sample to include in the library. Still has a nice strong scent to it and I’ll use it soon. Thank you Bruce!

Came home to the Terre De'hermes aftershave I ordered to go with my CBL Orange Dirt and a VERY generous 4 oz "SAMPLE" that Jim (Sharp's) said he was sending me. This guy is swell, totally floored me. Thanks again Jim !! This Cadre is full of generous souls

My ears were itching and I couldn't figure out why. Sorry I'm late.

The aluminum head is on a Ikon handle. I just bought the head when it was on sale for pretty cheap so I don't have an aluminum handle. I tend to like a little heft to my razors so the handle work for me. The other is a brass General that I had replated. The brass aging was driving me nuts so I covered it in nickel.

And the Toggle cost me a whopping $1.55.

I see, the Alu heft must definitely be coming from the handle then. It still feels pretty solid, I’ll have to disassemble and feel it when I get home. Did you strip the black coating off the Alu head?

No this was an earlier batch before they started coating them.
