TV Shows

Finished second season of Wheel of Time. Enjoying the adaptation so far…there’s only so much they can do with that many pages of material but I feel like they’re doing a decent job.

Let’s see…

Finished up Chapter 2 of Rebel Moon…nothing really that hasn’t been done in one way or another but still decent at least.

Season 2 of Reacher was a good time.

If you have the streaming service Peacock, make sure to watch Day of the Jackal. The first season just ended, and it is probably the best show on TV in my honest opinion.

If you don’t have Peacock, get it, it’s worth it

It's definitely on my short list of things to watch.

I just finished the first season of Severance on Apple TV. And I was really surprised. A great show that left me asking questions as I couldn't turn away. Yeah...can't what for January 17th.

Yep, I recommend it as well. Still have the last 2 episodes to watch.

On a whim yesterday I started watching Invisible on Disney+. Only two episodes into it (six episodes in all) and it is very good. Unexpectedly good. It won't be for everyone as the story follows a 12 year old boy who is bullied at school. There is a traumatic event and the kid has some issues. But there are some fantastical elements to the story. I initially chalk it up to the main character coping...but certain things occur that I am not so sure now. It is dubbed, so there is that. I believe the show was produced in Spain. But it has a really kick ass soundtrack.

"Based on the novel by Eloy Moreno. Capi, a twelve-year-old boy with a normal life, has suffered a terrible accident that has left him with severe post-traumatic stress disorder. Neither the school, nor his friends, nor his family can explain what has happened. However, the psychologist who treats him is determined to delve into his story and discover the reasons that led him to this situation."

"12-year-old Capi suffers a traumatic accident causing PTSD. While a psychologist tries to uncover the reasons, Capi reveals he has invisibility powers and nightmares of monsters. A new teacher aims to make the invisible visible to help him"

I've caught bits and pieces. Never watched a full episode.

I just figured with the peppers you might get a kick out of tonights episode.. I mean I know a lot of the show is staged {not real} but still might be worth it with the peppers tonight... We have a Police chief we know who pulled over some of the guys from the show once and the bottles were just colored water.. He told us if it had been real moonshine he would have arrested them... I mean even the ones who are actually making the alcohol on the show actually have their license to brew now and the few that dont make sure when the episode will air so they can move their operation so they dont have trouble , but Most are legal makers... Well if you get a chance and want to see it I just wanted to make sure you knew....

I’ve watched several limited series on Netflix recently, some were better than others. One that I think a few of you might enjoy is INSIDE MAN with Ted Danson (not sure if it was on Netflix or another). Its basic plot is Ted Danson’s character goes “undercover “ in a retirement/nursing home to solve a crime of some sort. With my dad having moved into such a facility earlier this year before he died, I found it he story oddly accurate but funny as all get out. It’s a quick few days of bingeing that might be worth your time.

Are you referring to :

A Man on the Inside on Netflix (2024)

Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a private investigator and becomes a mole in a secret investigation in a nursing home...
It looks like it would be interesting.... Thanks for the heads up. I will probably check it out soon....
