Trials of a woodpusher: Adventures in chess, backyard gardening, and maybe whisker chopping

The half-bucket is the amount that said squirrels knocked down from the tree for me to pick up off the ground this morning. It was their ingenious way of getting me to wash my hands again after breakfast (I think)
I See the racoons passed the torch... err, or in this case the Plums, to the Fuzzy tailed one

Today's shave was early afternoon, after lunch and laundry, and delivered the goods for a somewhat busy Sunday. In addition to my normal activities, there was also picking up another 1/2 bucket of plums the squirrels decided to knock to the ground to make them easier to reach for me. Such kind animals.

We are also heading out to a local park in the next town over to attend a concert by one of my wife's former coworkers. Should be a nice afternoon.

The last time I used my Injector was back in March and, my oh my, is it ever nice to get back to it once again. Such a simple and easy shave to kick off this holiday Monday in Ontario.

Another wonderfully meh shave with the Injector again this morning. The weather is nice and cool, relatively speaking, so we will head out later this morning for a walk with our buddies and maybe a light lunch as well. We'll see how things go and play it by ear.

Another buddy dropped by at 8am to pick some plums and it looks like we're starting to come to the end of the season. At least, that's what the squirrels are telling me, as there were less than a dozen on the ground for me to clean up.

Up early for garbage day today and another whack of plums on the ground for me to put out for compost. The feasting for the squirrels and two-leggers will soon be done and while my belly will be sad, my back and knees will rejoice from picking up after the squirrel festivities.

Another wonderfully easy-peasy shave with the Injector and vintage boar.

Yeah, that new fangled stuff won't work to pick up mushy plums and their pits from ground that's not even. Maybe bougie squirrels make a single pile but mine are all on crack.

Chiro this morning and we're about 1/3 of the way through my planned sessions for sciatica. So far, so good. Every week, I am introduced to a "new" exercise/stretch that it turns out I am already doing. Chalk one up for the good guys!

Shaved when I got home as I don't like to be scented when visiting the doctor, dentist, etc ... and another nice shave with the Injector has me ready for bridge club this muggy afternoon.

A mid-morning walk this morning has us hoping to beat the heat but, alas, it was in vain and we all were mopping our brows after the hour long walk. At least, we got out and about!

No shave until 3:30pm after a mid-afternoon coffee as I prep for exam-1 in my FP course. So far, so good.
