Well Jim I didn't consider one person buying multiples for people who couldn't stay up or could possibly be working. I personally don't have issue with that.

Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. It is actually at the local USPS sorting facility as we speak.

I know Dave missed out, and I feel so bad for him. I wish I had pulled the trigger on a second set.
 
Got the notification that mine has arrived, and chomping at the bit to get out of here so I can unwrap it. It’ll be on deck for tomorrow.

Got home from work a little bit ago, and it was indeed waiting patiently on the doorstep. I snapped a quick pic of tomorrow's SOTD.


Giving the Torrey a few dozen laps on the Ark tonight in hopes that it will tune up the edge. I almost hate to break the seal on the aftershave, it's so pretty.
 
Mine landed today, and it is pretty awesome. Eric beats me on the photo skills, so I will save mine for my next SOTD photo.
 
I guess I don't mind it if this happens. If there is someone willing to pay it then it is on them. But something doesn't sit right with me when it is done. If I could have at the time, I would have bought other sets...I just would have sold it to someone at cost to make sure they could get theirs.
 
4 out of 6 listed on there are from the same person. That's just not right in my book no matter what is said about people willing to pay for it. Buy what you want and leave rest for others that would like to buy. Parasites in my book
 
Same conversation comes up every time, in every hobby with something that is hard to get. Can't really argue with the people making a profit where one exists, but I think the company is playing into it by letting people buy more than one.

Concur! Since it is so limited, they should allow as many people get a chance as possible. Limit it to one, and it’ll still sell out. Then nobody gets gouged. Of course, those who want to profit, will still find a way, by having others buy for them, but at least it would help to limit the second hand market.
 
In one of my other hobbies I have bought coins sat on them, or sent them off to be graded just so I could sell them for a profit. I think one big difference here is that this is still something that we can consume.

I know it comes up all the time and I don't want or mean to come off as arguing a point. I'll just state it once and I do respect that we all see it differently perhaps.

My problem is if the people aren't even into this hobby they exploit those of us that are and may want to try a quality product that is already difficult to obtain. They just exacerbate the situation. If they ARE in this hobby, then double shame on them taking advantage of their fellow shavers in the community for their own profit. Would I like to have gotten a set. Yes if it was attainable. I've joked to Don about buying his and it was just ribbing if his wife was unhappy. But this isn't sour grapes on my part because I couldn't get one. If I REALLY wanted one I would not have rolled back over in bed when I saw the time when I did. I don't like the "me before anyone else" mentality that is taking over with people today. I stand by what I stated about them being parasites. That's what a parasite does. It feeds off of others. That's what I enjoy about a forum like this. We care about and are generous to each other and wouldn't think of taking advantage of another member. I wasn't even going to say anything because I know it happens, until I saw the 1 person selling 4 or 5 separate sets. I mean come on, not even just 1 extra but how many that others were up and trying to get. Just because someone CAN do something doesn't make it morally right to do.

There, I've spoken my peace and am done. I do respect any that see this as fine and acceptable. I'll just agree to disagree. Heading back to my corner........I can accept my time out and I'm over it now
