Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend if you got one. Today’s razor of choice was the Merkur Mergress which is a hot rodded Progress. This razor is just about the prefect adjustable razor. Voskhod on its second use and dialled to 3 this is an easy shave.

TFS Corte Sabauda was the choose today with the matching AS. What a scent! They really do make excellent soaps with great performance and strong and lively scents.

Beautiful two pass shave and smooth as can be. Topped off with a spritz of Guerlain Habit Rouge which is just about as close a match as can be found and ready for the work day.

Oh you will like it! It sounds like it has a lot going on but it really is balanced in my opinion.

Quick shave to get on the road and wanted to reach for an old favourite. This 1960 Gillette Fatboy is one of two, the other being a 1959 I own. Great razor from a good friend in Texas.

RazoRock Gold is all citrus, warm spice, leather and Amber. What a great scent...I know I say that a lot...”great scent” but I don’t have many that don’t smell pretty good.

Dialled up to 5 the Fatboy had no issues getting smoothly through the beard. Nice and smooth and out the door with a little Prada for good measure.

Friday and the weekend is upon us. Gillette New LC loaded up with a Bolzano. Just a wonderful OC and I say everyone should have one of these in their den. Just effortless to use and a fine shaver.

RazoRock Nomad chosen as the soap of the day with matching AS. Creamy wood and warm spices which puts it is a similar wheelhouse to the RazoRock Gold used earlier in the week. Just as good as the Gold!

Beautiful two pass shave and ready for the weekend. Have to get through the work day first.

The Sunday shave lovely because it usually is a nice, unrushed and leisurely affair and yet sad because it signifies that Monday and the work week awaits! Ah well. Today I reached for the iKon X3 slant on the 85mm matching handle. It is the finest of the three slants I have; the other two being the Merkur 37C and 39C. Just a really comfortable shaver.

Proraso Green SC was at hand and so I went with it and the pre-shave lotion and matching AS. Just great all around.

Lovely two pass BBS shave. Time to enjoy some quiet time and get ready for dinner. Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. Take care and safe travels.

I haven’t used a boar brush in a very long time and forgot how good they can be. The Omega 10066 is a little cheapy brush but it was great to use! Have to work some more into the rotation.
