Here we are at Friday once again and after a very long week on the road, it was nice to get back to normal routine. So I decided to grab a beauty from the collection in my Gillette Sheraton. This gem has been replated by Chris Spencer at BackRoadsGold in 24k and stunning it is. Loaded up with a fresh Voskhod.

Soap of the day, Stirling Agar which I love with the matching AS. Can’t say enough about it and yet have said all there is to say. Superb. Today however marks the debut of quite a brush. In this case the Paladin Jade Sumo in 26mm Select Badger. Wow! This is perhaps the softest brush I have ever used and an incredible lather machine. Handle is super comfortable. I can now see why so many love and acquire Paladin brushes of all kinds. Looking forward to many more shaves with this beauty.

Quite a nice and smooth three pass shave. Excellent! Topped off with some Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense and all set for the day and the weekend.

Nice choices today Ed! The tub of Stirling Agar I have had grown on me quite a bit since I got it, I’ll bet the AS is just as nice!

Does the Prada match it well or just compliment it?

The Prada dovetails nicely with the Agar and the two scents complement each other. The AS is fantastic and again when blended with the Prada just adds a little extra to the mix. I thinks it is the myrrh and amber in the Prada that compliments the agarwood and smoke in the Agar. They just go well together.
 
A little under the weather and wanting a quick shave to hit the road. Karve CB on the B SB plate was just the ticket. Mild and easily went through two days growth with no fuss at all.

Shave cream was the Nivea Protect and Care followed up with the matching balm. Very nice two pass shave as close as can be. The B, C SB and the B OC plates have provided stellar shaves. Next up will be the D SB and A OC.

No...you cannot. Edgar would be the full handle. The only one who called me that was Mom who is with the Lord above.
 
Well the flu is still raging away but today’s shave brought some respite. I have been enjoying the Colonial General SS SE for the last little while and though it is in my travel kit I packed the iKon El Jefe also. Well today the Boss took over. Schick ProLine blade and off we went.

Soap of the day was Ariana & Evans Cafe au Lait. I am surprised I only have one of their soaps because it really is great. Thirsty but a great soap. The scent is all coffee and chocolate and the matching AS just finishes it off nicely. Great skin food in this one. Just might revisit it for Valentines Day.

A very nice and easy two pass DFS achieved. The General is still Boss in my books but this was a great shave.

Sorry to hear about the Flu. 🤧😷🤒 Whatever viruses are floating around...Flu or otherwise are very potent this year! I'm with you...A&E is some good stuff!

I usually get one big one a year and that’s it but this one is pretty potent. My Bride is still down with it and it’s been a week and a half for her. I am a little worse today but have to get work done. Great shave though...:p
