The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

The Dragon's Blood scent is AMAZING! And I agree with you...not sure what one I like better..it or Roasted Oatmeal Stout. But I too think the Dragon's Blood is just edging the win! Glad recovery is doing well!

Great Ghost Dragon shave! Better than Oatmeal Stout scent wise? I think I will disagree there. But it is pretty darn spectacular!

Still recovering, lacking some mobility in my neck, but able to get a great shave anyway.

For SEptember, I used my Personna Floating Head injector. This was a fantastic choice for me right now, since I don’t have to think about the Shave at all. I can press as hard as I want and the floating head takes care of pressure and angle all on its own. It’s one of my favorite razors!

First Shave using the TSC scent from CBL. From the tub I get vetiver and citrus. Once lathered I kind of lost the citrus and it was all vetiver. Which I enjoyed. Strength was about a 2, which I wish was a bit stronger. But it’s still nice.

I smelled them both this morning, side by side. Man it’s a tough call. I like them both for different reasons. But I think the slight edge does go to the Oatmeal Stout!

I know another SE razor that you say provides a very mild and thoughtless shave....

Good to hear the recovery is going well so far. Now that you are minus a thyroid all together I suppose the journey to get the replacement dosages nailed down will be your next challenge.

Man pick a scent and stick with it! None of this wavering crap!

Just for the sake of being fully up to date, I'm reposting my facebook status form today.....

Wanted to give everyone an update. Some of you know I had surgery on Friday and I’m off work for two weeks. Well, I had my thyroid removed. I found a lump in it earlier this year, and they decided to remove half of it, and then see if there was any reason to take out the other half, which had a smaller non-visible lump, or leave it.

When they took it out, they examined it and found cancer cells, so they took out the whole thing. I expected it to be outpatient surgery, but si...nce they took the whole thing I had to stay in the hospital overnight.

They said that when there is cancer in the thyroid it is usually isolated and doesn’t spread, so removing the thyroid takes care of it. I’m sure there will be some sort of follow up just to be sure, but I’m probably past the worst of it. Now I will be on Synthroid, a daily hormone replacement, for the rest of my days. I have a follow up with my doctor next Friday. So it’ll be mostly the couch and Netflix for me until then.

Recovery is going well, but it still hurts to talk and swallow and move my head around too much.

To top it all off, a few days before surgery, I started to develop a pretty severe and widespread poison ivy rash. Apparently I must have brought it in on something after mowing, then Monkey got into it and transferred to to my bed, or me while I slept. It’s all over my stomach, chest, and legs, and a little on my back and arms. Not fun.

Going a little stir crazy, and looking forward to getting out of the house soon! Still have a wicked looking wound on my neck, but it should heal with no noticeable scar.

Fake news! I was never near your bed!!!
