Decided to try to get this boar brush under control and try to start really breaking it in. So I'll be using this brush primarily for a while, or until it aggravates me enough to where I move on to something else. Saturday it lost 2 hairs, Sunday it lost 5, today it lost 1. I can't figure out the reason. I soak it for at least 10 minutes before each use, I'm not overly rough with it, I don't wring it out when rinsing post shave. Maybe one day it'll stop. We'll see.
I'm also almost done the tub of MF, so I'm just going to use that until it's gone. Probably the end of the week. Look at me 3017'ing*
In Other News:
This weekend was extremely busy and I'm so far behind on the forums. Friday night was my step son's junior prom, so we all went to my in-laws house to take pictures and the kids he was going with all hung out and had some pre party snacks that my mother-in-law put together. It's hard to believe that he's going to high school proms already...he had a great time though.
Saturday I got some things done around the house and then we went to the Phillies game. For those that follow baseball, Jimmy Rollins was officially retiring as a Phillie before the game so they had a nice little ceremony for him. It was really cool. While we were waiting to get into the stadium (we got there really early) Charlie Manual (one of Jimmy's managers and the manager of the '08 championship team) walked through the crowd on his way in. Really cool to see him!
Sunday one of my God daughters made her First Holy Communion, so the wife and I went to that. That was really nice also, and the priest at my friend's church was really good. He was good at relating to the congregation, and the kids, and kept everyone's attention. Most of the Catholic priests I’ve seen in the past have been pretty bad at making their message relate able. Especially to the younger kids. It felt good to be back at mass and actually enjoy it. I might even start attending regularly again.
Willie World:
Willie wasn’t too happy about us not being around a ton this weekend, but we made up for it with some extra treats. I’m sure he’ll be getting some extra snuggle time this week as well!
